Literally the only video on YouTUbe which actually SHOWS each step and how to do it correctly! Thank you so much for this video, now I just have to find the water lock somewhere.
Thank you. Glad it was useful to you. Also once you have adjusted the front feet tighten those bolts upwards to the frame and then it will stop it going unlevel again.
I will be installing my new Hotpoint washing machine myself next week, for the first time and it seems very straight forward. I noticed how you were careful about making sure your Bosch washing macine was level with the floor, so I will be doing the same. Great video and thanks for posting.
Great stuff. It's fairly simple if you are just replacing a Washing machine and you have all the plumbing in place. Glad to help out. Have a marvellous week (of washing!). Thanks for visiting my channel.
Thank you sooo much for these very clear instructions! Our washer broke while the record hot heat wave (how lucky) and I sweat like crazy because of my medication. This is my first time installing anything like this, so I am quite excited and slightly terrified. 😛☔️💦 You have such a lovely, soft, calm voice. Pleasure to listen. 🎶
You’re video was very helpful I’ve installed my washing Machine today just by watching you’re video again thank you so much and keep up the good work! You’ve got a new subscriber 😁😁👍🏾
Never heard of that brew? Is it similar to tea, sounds like it could be sweet. I would prefer a cup of tea but if you enjoy a dunkin donuts brew then why not! 😎
Excellent video showing installation. You did a great job showing installation clearly. I installed a Bosch machine for my step father and was surprised they don't supply a spanner like LG do but overall he appears to be happy with his Bosch, though it can be fussy at balancing and not doing the 1400rpm spin and only does around 1000rpm when spinning a large heavy load. Only criticism I have about your video is that disappointingly you do not know how to use it lol. If you did you would be 'da man' plus you could help your wife with the laundry ;)
Glad you found it useful. Amazing that some of your washing machine videos have 250k views, brilliant. As Eric Morecambe famously said 'I'm loading all the right clothes and detergent, just not necessarily in the right order'. I can use the dishwasher but thats easy, even though I load it then my Wife comes along and re-arranges it all. Thank you for subscribing, I really really do appreciate that. Have a great weekend. Lurgs 'almost da man but not quite'.
A new washing machine will come with the mains cold water feed pipe and the drainage hose is built in, it should all be ready to just plumb into your existing pipework. Good luck
Excellent clear video many thanks. I'm getting a new Bosch machine tomorrow as my 25 year old whirlpool is leaking from underneath and making funny noises lol. My old machine has both hot and cold feeds, I can turn the valve on the hot feed to close it, but the cold feed valve is stuck open (tried 3-in-1 oil but no luck). I will have to turn off the mains water supply, but that is no problem. I am worried about leaks if I remove the old cold water hose, so I'm planning to leave it in place and simply take the rubber seal off the new hose and put it on the existing hose at the washing machine end. Does this sound like it will work?
I’ve just posted a new video here which has some extra footage in about drainage and feet locking nuts so this one is better ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7FXMLxVTLKU.html Personally I would never use an old hose on your new machine. Use the brand new one as it will be better and the seals will be better and less likely to leak. Just turn mains water off and install new hose then turn mains water back on slowly and check for leaks before you push it back into place.
@@LurgsHowToGuides I have used a Karcher SC1 steam cleaner to clean the soap powder compartment after taking the drawer out, but the powder in there has also hardened up due to to the lack of cleaning over the years. Even the drawer has hardened soap on it.
OK, I have a (stupid) question. Do you not have to hook up both the hot and water??? I'm trying to figure out how to install an All In One ventless Washer Dryer . . . so if I only have to have one hook up to cold, let me know!
Hello Lurgs . Thanks for the video . Perhaps you can help me before I try to contact Bosch. I installed this machine last week and I decided that I would give it a wipe underneath today to try to prevent the build up of grime that had occurred with the old machine . I used a thin piece of plastic with a cloth attached and it wouldn't go in . I see that there seems to be a metal tray beneath . Is this normal or was it something that I should have removed ?. Everything is fine , it spins perfectly etc. Sorry if I'm being silly here but this would make it harder to pull the unit out in the future. Thanks in advance , Kieron.
colekeircom The only thing that you have to remove is the installation bolts, as far as I’m aware there’s nothing else. Double check your manual but I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about, they wouldn’t put something underneath to remove as it’s so heavy to lift the machine.
There must be a tap or lever to turn off the mains cold water feed, be very unusual not to have one. If you can’t find it then just turn off your mains water stopcock. Run a tap first to make sure it is off. When you turn it back on do it slowly.
Hello, lovely video. I bought a mew waving machine and tried installing it myself. I was removing the bolt when a screw fell inside, the manual did say that could happen, it also said that I should tilt the machine forward to retrieve it. I tried doing that but it is very heavy and I was not able to retrieve anything, any suggestions?
No that's all good, only a cold water feed hose only. Virtually all modern washing machines heat up the cold water to the desired temperature, no need for a hot water feed hose anymore.
wow, am very happy that this video was so helpful to me, it's my first time of installing washing machine is my husband that normally do it, because he was not around, thanks so much for this video 😄😄
Great stuff, well done for installing. Don't forget to tighten up the front feet locking nuts if it's level (just tighten them upwards to the base of the machine), this stops the feet moving and adjusting again. 😎
Thanks so much, very helpful! I just have few issues with my hotpoint one (used), when I tested it I can't see the draining working and on top of that I can see water floating and it won't let me open the door. The "keys" icon is lit on red all the time 🤷🏻♂️
This is great, not only did your video teach a washing machine installation newbie how to get the job done (thank you very much), but you went the extra mile to do so with the same Bosch machine I bought. Now that's service :) !
That was handy! Remember to tighten the bolts up underneath (to keep it level), video here skip to the tighten bolts part. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L24GgdT9xq8.html
Excellent video, so simple and informative. Very concise and useful, brilliant. The next time I need to change my washing machine, I'll be more confident. Excellent.
Sorry to point it out but there is one mistake in your video, after leveling the washing machine you forgot to tighten the locking nuts at the feet, you need to tighten the locking nuts upside or else it will start to move after some time
Blimey, I can’t see any locking nuts on this, hard to get to if it’s under a counter. I’ll have another look. Cheers for the info, I’ll update description if there are locking nuts.
Levelling the feet as you've shown is WRONG ,, The nut is for tightening up against the base of the machine, AFTER, you have raised or lowered the foot, to get it level.,, (locking the rubber foot in place,),, if you leave it like you have done, (loose), the rubber foot will gradually screw itself in, over time, as the machine is moving during spin etc... and then the machine won't be level any more, and will dance around the kitchen,, !! (and vibrate badly)...
@@LurgsHowToGuides Perhaps you should get rid of this video then,, it's bad advice for someone who is looking how to install their new washing machine,??
I've got a link in the description to the new Video which covers the locking nuts. As soon as my new one overtakes this one in views I will delete it. Cheers.
How come there was no resistance when you took the bolls out lol I’m relying with my Beko & plyers, ten more to go my arm is killing, why did it think I could this, they are so tight 😕
Jane ,you've probably done yours by now! I'm just going to add on this incase anyone else is looking as I am fitting a Beko and they are ridiculously tight. Found that the silver bolts don't come out from the big plastic bit - so just get them to turn loose, you'll feel them able to wriggle a bit , there's about a 1.5cm of thread to give you an idea of how much you need to unscrew to disengage. Then the plasticy 'bolts'... haha turned my about 200 times as they have grip indents..note to self 'stupid', note to Beko WTF!... eventually found you had to angle them slightly , use the sticky-out silver bolt and gently push down, you'll see a gap appear between the metal machine back and the plastic bolt top, start tugging in the angled direction and then as the gap widens puh on the silver bolt in the opposite way...tugging...they will come out... bit like doing a champagne cork..bit this way, bit that. Job done! A friend just had same prob and followed these instructions ,5mins done..took me 2hrs to discover ... and now I continue to search for someone fitting the waste securely to a sink outlet rather than down a pipe!!! and Lurgs, treat yourself to a magnetic spirit level! Tess
@@tessjayne5817 Thanks ,first the auto correct, boll lol Well mine was a Beko the bolts were very tight & I only had plyers. The next problem I run in to was I turned the cold water of but it didn’t turn of ,it was broke & I had a small flood.Long story short ,NEW YEARS EVE,a man ,£40 quid & me deflated with a swelled wrist.I was going to be so proud of myself but I should have had it done,I was really upset now I look back it was silly to start 🤪🤪never mind, thanks anyway 👍🏻
@@janeburke147 oh I'm sorry...I'm just about to do the drum clean ... so fingers crossed! Heaving 11st washer in the gap was also my downfall..but wasn't gonna be beaten! Connected water and I guess there's a stopvalve just as it goes in the 'body' ,no leaks where I screwed it on, lets hope the inners work or I'll be thoroughly bleep bleep bleeping bleeped!!
@@tessjayne5817 😂😂well they say swearing relieves stress lol.Take care humping that weight, you don’t want to end up in a COVID hospital 😳Well done ,be proud ,you did it 👍🏻🤗
I think you'll need a plumber to replace the tap I'm afraid. Unless you can see where it's leaking from and try some plumbers mate paste or plumbers ptfe tape on the thread but it's probably not the thread. What a pain.
Sara Almutairi If it's brand new that has to be a fault. Did you run a first wash without anything in it just to clear it all out, that's a drum clean or 90c quick wash. If after that it it won't empty on a normal wash then you need to contact the place you bought it from.
Knowledge Seeker I’ve not pulled it out but looking in the video at the back I’ve measured roughly the size of the machine and how the cord is and I’d say it’s 6feet long.
Danny Turn water off. Undo it fully, clean the thread on the mains one with an old toothbrush, then tighten it up again. Only hand tighten though, do not overtighten. You shouldn't need any Ptfe tape. Make sure you use the brand new hose
@@LurgsHowToGuides Still leaking. I noticed your cold tap has less thread than mine. When you tightened your hose, it covered all the thread right to the top. When I tighten my hose, you can still see half the thread. It doesn't tighten right to the top. Maybe I need to buy a extra connection?
