@@ronthedom8471 tell me you’ve never done wiring before without telling me you’ve never done wiring before. You should always use heat shrink and then wrap it in electrical tape if you want to get technical
@ThatBlackCadillac yeah....I work on police cars, and if you know anything about police cars, they have a shit ton of wires, a shit ton of wires means a shit ton of butt connectors, I have never heat shrinked wires, if it's on the outside you tape it and have loom over the wires, if it inside the vehicle, you don't even need to tape over it, there is no point, and the people who have been doing it for over 10 years do the same, but yeah, tell me how I'm wrong?
@@ronthedom8471ya your right I have a retired 2017 police car and nothing is heat shrinked everywhere is in electrical wire and inside not much is taped
@santiagogarcia5966 yeah, there's no point in it, water won't do anything to the wires unless the live and ground wire are completely submerged, and even then, heat shrinking the connector would do jack shit to stop it.
If I get a PA system will it stay powered even if my car is off? I’ve seen people talking about some doing that and was wondering if it would happen and why/how to fix it
OK so question I did this on my 2003 ranger before just hooking it straight up to the batteries before but I just did what you did it won’t kill the battery will it?
Impersonating a cop is a felony. It depends on how you "use" these sounds really. Technically PAs are legal for "political" reasons for you to campaign around town...ice cream trucks are usually allowed to play midi songs etc.. but using a siren behind someone might be considered an attempt of acting as a peace officer which would be a felony or at the very least a misdemeanor depending on how any "victim" feels threatened / turns it against you. Just be careful and have fun but don't bother strangers lol
