I've been struggling in a couple of weeks because my MacBook Pro is not really printing with my epson L3110 and L3210 using USB. Upon watching this tutorial I followed the steps unfortunately as I connect the USB to my computer, it didn't pop up the printer in my laptop as what happened during the video. Im still worrying that I can't use my laptop forever.
I have a brother MFC-J5720DW which I am trying to connect wirelessly. I have manage to set up the connect with the router to the printer and the router to my computer but my computer (iMac) won't recognise the printer. Any help would be great please
Can I setup an Epson all-in-1 to use both wireless and wired connections? Currently I have it setup using wireless but now the half of my computers at home are connected using the either net cable therefore I could not use the printer. I have tried to connect the printer to a either net switch using the cable but when trying to run the setup and pick wired connection It would not recognize the printer. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the video. I wanted to ask if the printer device had also scanner functions, do these three ways work in order to be able to scan or should we perform other operations?
5:03 how do I print it to be double sided? My Printer settings does not show it. Is there some Duplex Printing Setting that I need to enable when I'm setting it up? I can't seem to find it
Thanks for the video, very informative for us "non Tech" folks! Question: Can I do this using a Brother MFC 7360N laser jet printer (which does NOT have wifi), and connect it to my MacBook air (2013)?
I was able to reconnect wirelessly, however I get a message that says, Encryption credentials have expired" message and the print job is paused. Can you help?

Hi there, I wonder if you can help with a Mac OS Monterey and HP Deskjet 1510 Series problem. I installed the driver from HP Drivers v.5.1 for mas OS site and I'm using a USB cable and Dongle to the Mac. I continue to get the 'waiting for printer to become available' and can't print or scan. I have removed the printer from System Preferences but my 'Reset Priting system' option is always greyed out for some reason. I tried the Print Test page and that printed no problem. Up to March I was using the printer connected to a Dell laptop and printing wasn't a problem. Any ideas what I might try next? I did follow your instructions on your video but I continue to get the 'waiting for printer to become available' message. Any help would be great. Thanks a lot. Anne
is there any way to do fast printing, like in my country on weddings people love buying images, so I need to be fast and to print like 300-400 images with fast color and exposure corrections and some images are printed 2-3times (so literally sometimes 1k images per wedding), so I gotta pick which image is how much times printed and it needs to be fast. But I prefer Mac instead windows, but I can't find software on mac. On windows its easy, like drylab, fuji program etc.
hi, My printer is canon LBP2900 and i cant find supportive driver. I am using MAC mini M1 , is there any chance will it connect to my mac mini M1 ? I seen one video where its work with macbook pro M1 as they install LBP3000 driver and patch it.
If i set mine to automatically puck up ,it falls off and i have to keep re adding it, so i want to install by hostname and when installing the driver it fails to communicate with printer
Problems connecting Cannon MX 330 to my very recent MacBook Pro. Model is not listed as an AirPrint printer. I do have a USB dongle Bluetooth. Tried connecting via USB to (different) dongle adapter to USB-C on Mac. Cannon says “no driver for the OS version I selected (Monterey 12) The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver.” What’s next?
I am having trouble being able to download the driver for a Canon Pixma MP620. It says "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver." This printer is from 2009 and was gifted so is it just older printers that won't work? I have the MacBook Air M1. I don't get that message after I hook up the printer with the USB cord. I'm trying to find a solution before having to buy a new printer that has a driver that works with my laptop. ughh
Hey, I have a similar problem, hope you got a solution since he didn't respond here. I'm have a similar question getting ready to connect (hopefully) an older HP P1006 printer, by USB I think. Don't think the wireless or ethernet options are available for this printer... but it's an awesome, reliable workhorse (for black and white printing only).
Option 1: how do I connect my HP printer to the router?? My Macbook can't see my printer no matter what I do even with wireless sign blinking on my HP printer and n my MacBook bluetooth on
Hello i am unable to connect my lexmark ms811dn printer to macbook…i downloaded the drivers already, but when i add printer, its not showing anything. Please help me out…thank u
Thanks a lot for this. I have to set up a printer on a Mac for someone and I have never done so on a Mac. I only use Windows and Linux. This is similar to Linux set up. Reminds me of Elementary OS. I now have an idea. Mac is actually pretty cool.
hi thanks for the video on 6 minutes 21 second you said print through I phone or I pad to a printer that's connected to ethernet cable to wifi router. please guide me how to print from my I pad or I phone as my printer is connected to wifi router through ethernet cable but I am not a able to figure how to do it . my printer is non-wfi supported hp laser jet 2055
@@thecollegepicker by China ones you mean that it won't be reliable right? If so what do you have in mind for something reliable but won't cost a leg or a kidney if you know what i mean
Great video!, but I'm still having problems with getting to work, my second Mac computer, and also my older mac to make them go wireless. I love the video is the best I have seen, but not being computer savvy is not helping me. Thank you!
Thanks! You got it working on one but not the other two? They might be so old where they don't have airprint. Do you know the Mac models and operating system version they are running?
@@thecollegepicker thanks for the reply, yes it is. It has been printing for like a year now and it stopped printing and I deleted the printer to reinstall and now it doesn't show in the list. I can still print from my cellphone, but when I try from my MAC it doesn't work.
I have the Brother DCP- T310 model and I want to connect it to my macbook pro m1 but i cant seem to find its disk or idk what to call it (the one that allows me to pair and print... I went to their website and tried to install the MacOS for the version12 (im on12.2) so idk if i should have the 12.2 one or not... i tried downloading it multiple times but still nothing :(( and its such a hassle to keep on transferring my files to print on my old laptop :< hope you'll notice this
@@thecollegepicker yess i did, and then what shows here is the dmg file so i clicked on it which then extracts a pkg file… after clicking on the pkg file it leads me straight to the downloading part where after agreeing and saying its completed, i try to check if its there but still nothing🤣🥲
So the title is "How to INSTALL a printer no Mac". But in the vid, you show that the printers are ALREADY installed on your Mac. And you're simply using the + sign to add a printer. I know how to do that. But I don't know how to install a printer. How do I get the printer installed so that it shows up on the list of installed printers that I can then choose by using the + add sign? Thanks.
HP's drivers will not open on my IMac. Hours on the phone with Apple ... they couldn't figure out how to get the printer to work ... it suddenly stopped this morning, and that is the problem. I will take it to an Apple store tomorrow, and if they can't figure out how to connect my IMac with my HP printer, then ... obviously I will abandon Apple products. 20 years ago, I could add a printer on my own, but ... then the computer companies decided to make things complicated. Go figure.
when i click on add printer" nothing shows up even though both my laptop and my printer are connected to the same network. It's really frustrating because I can't use it and it's literally useless.
why can’t you find a video anymore that just shows you how to do what you are looking to do. Get to the point already and show us how to do it. Talked long enough to tell me the entire history of a printer.
@@thecollegepicker yes, but i figured it out right now I had to use the IP address to connect it. But thank you for trying to help you responded very quickly
