That "new" endlink hardware isn't long enough for the (red) aftermarket lca. You need 2-3 threads past the nylon locking ring (in the nut) for the nylon to do its job properly. I would not trust it. On the stock lca (that is thinner), it would probably be the right length...but on these red lcas, that endlink bolt is too short !!!
I remember watching a video of Kevin installing those Ohilins coilovers. He said he would do a full review on them but never did 😕 could you do a full review on the Ohlins?
Any chances for a demonstration of finishing up while the suspension is loaded? I've never found a good way to do it without having a pit or something.
in this case the top can be tightened down without load, the bottom can be tightened if there is a bearing of some sort. if it is a bushing then you are correct, it needs to be tightened at ride hight.
I broke both front Whiteline end links in my 16 WRX. They both broke at the adjustment screw into the body. I went with the Perrin solid end links after, and never had another problem.
Bout to ask a dumb question from a new Subi owner. Is this a fairly simple addition on my '17 Impreza Sport Wagon or is it a pain in the ass compared to the WRX/STI since I notice most upgrades seem to be on those platforms?
@@SubiSpeed Good lookin out. Yeah, I figured it may be more challenging than the WRX/STI platform but I'm a wagon guy and I got this near-mint Impreza with 17k miles for 6k from a family member that had a recent life change so I couldn't pass it up!
@@K03sport Mom's just bought a Crosstrek because it's nearly identical to her old Impreza but taller/easier for her at her age. Dude and the dealership said they are nearly identical so that's a good point, gracias senior
@@KP-ol3tc ...even bits off the 2015+ WRX are swappable w/2013-2017 Crosstrek. In 2018, the Crosstrek (and Impreza) moved to the newer chassis (the WRX /STi did not)
@@SubiSpeed maybe side shirts, front lip, rear spats. Something not too expensive cause of the daily driver build. Driver feedback mods are great too. Not really sure what’s already installed on the wrx though haha
