Best video on YT. Straight and to the point. Some of the videos on how to install the same door are 20 minutes long or longer. So unnecessary. Great videos sir!
Thank you sir for your assistance and inspiration. I just Installed my door today, a couple of hours ago. Mine was inside my garage with a small step up. I run a board across the top as a shim and my jack underneath as a balance. From there, marking, drilling, and leveling. One more to go on the patio.
I just bought a nice looking Security door at Homedepot. Someone is charging me 600.00 to install it. I have a screw gun and a level, what more do it need?. I think i could do this. Step #1 set screen door on top of wood spacers. Step #2 Pre drill back ,set metal. Step #3 set front metal, pre drill, set. Step #4 pre drill top. Make sure everything's level. Thanks for the encouragement!! By the way, i like your impala low Rider!!
Make sure the doorknob on the security screen door does not interfere with the doorknob on the inside door. If they do interfere with each other, you will have to flip the security screen door over mounting the security screen door with the doorknob on the opposite side of the inside doorknob.
Thank you for the video it helped me a lot! Being a woman I get a lot of shady people saying the can repair or install & I find doing it myself with the hell of people like YOU, makes it easier & cheaper on me! God bless you brother! 🥹🙏🏼🫶
Very helpful video. Can you tell me what type of bit you are using to tighten those security bolts in place? It doesn't look like a standard screwdriver bit. Thanks!
what are you screwing the security door screws into? the thin jam wood on the interior door or did you have to put up trim board to screw security door bolts into?
Buenas tardes Noe, im in need of one for my apartment, can you recomend one easy install? Also does the drill piece for the bolts come with the door or would I buy that apart?
I tried to install one today following manufacturer directions and used a 3/16 drill bit but the one way screw is stuck after going in for just half an inch. I even added pressure but its not moving at all so i stopped. What am i doing wrong? Do i need a bigger drill bit to drill bigger holes before j put screw in or do i need a hammer drill instead of a regular one?
Why not buy a security mesh door that looks like a screen door so it doesn't come off as ghetto? What are the pros and cons of that versus just a regular security door?
I have these doors installed at multiple properties from "high" to "middle" class. They're way more secure and durable plus cost less than the traditional screen doors. Definitely not just a "poor" thing. With the right home accents they look amazing too. :)
I don't use these for security; I love the ventilation. I turn off a/c during cool hours. Plus the expanded metal screen provides one-way vision--to outside--if inside lights are turned off. You can see outside, yet no passersby can see you (unless they come right up and press their noses on the screen).
