I think too much grease was use in this video.... my advice to not use cheap grease, (especially those liquid type) on moving parts as this will flash grease on the clutch disc... now while heavy use of grease was mainly place on still shaft, that sliding will displace grease on rotating area and eventually contaminate disc

I watched you video cus I just bot a release bearing and need to put it in and had no idea how to put it in, but your vid was helpful, I hope to get it in this weekend in my 1958 amc Rambler super.

I just picked up the release bearing the the auto parts said will fit my truck but it looks different than my bearing that I took off do you think this will be an issue due they just reissue new bearings? What is your opinion on the type of throwout bearing is it important to have the exact one reinstall? My old one does not look like yours that you are installing and the new one I have does also not look anything like yours and I guess my question is does it really matter as long as it fits the spline?
It matters, they make two dif flywheel and clutch's for our trucks, a dual clutch flywheel setup and a solid clutch flywheel setup, each uses its own throw-out bearing, my truck has the solid classic style flywheel and cutch
@@TattsForLife I was wondering your thought on this. When I went to shift from 2nd into third as I've depressed the clutch I felt and heard kind of a pop and then my truck would not go into gear. I found that if I shut the truck off put it into gear that I'm able to drive it home and that's how I was able to do that. I have now put a brand-new master and slave cylinder which I've bled on the bench twice now and cannot see that I had a problem with that also I have replaced the clutch fork and throwout bearing and I am still not able to get my truck into gear while it is running.
I am able to get the truck into 5th gear and fourth-year if I jam it. But I cannot get it into reverse first second or third. What do you think I should be looking at?
Only put grease on the sliding part of the bearing and fork . Don’t put grease on the part that makes contact with the pressure plate. Too much grease bud
I had a new clutch installed installed 1996 4.6 mustang GT and it runs great except it makes a tic tic tic sound if I step on the clutch just a tad I goes away what posable could it be I got it back too the shop and they said they put it up one guy in it one on the bottom and test drove it and said that sound is normal what the heck is it and they charged me $1200 what does it sound like it could be thank you sir I learned something from your video it helps to take your time and not be in a rush today you get stuck your at there will n have to hope that one they know what n the he'll they are doing and two that they don't greasse your wallet fuck
its a bad throw out bearing sounds like to me, they tend to tisk tisk when they bad, to you apply pressure and sound goes away due to bearing having pressure on it
