I have a 05 Chevy equinox with a leak that it look like it came from the casting that water pump sits in . is this a hard job to do yourself ?

it is leaking on the backside on the motor close to the fire wall in between the motor and the casting

the only prob I'm having is I can't find the torque specs for the water pump bolts and pully bolts can't you plz till me what they are?

question if you have the leak But your temp gauge shows normal operating temp. Can the car still be overheating?

Car can still overheat if you don't maintain level. Fix the leak. If it's the pump leaking, it may still function internally but your coolant pressure is not where it should be.

Mine is leaking around the pipe on top of the housing the pump goes in. Could that be the water pump as well?

Not sure but could be your thermostat housing leaking. Replace the whole unit. If the pipe is part of the engine block itself, use metal weld you can find at any auto parts store. Make sure and clean it well and follow instructions. I had great experience with a putty called Quick Steel and is about $6 give or take. Also make sure it's not the hose leaking making it look like the pipe is. Hose could be worn causing a leak.
