Replaced my regulator in a front passenger side sedan. I would add the following: Don't use a screwdriver for removing the inner door cover, start at the top corner by the mirror, I did it without tools. When replacing the motor and the lift, put in one bolt in each at the key hole location. This will aid in placing the pieces in the right location. That is why there are keyholes. The job took 25 minutes. The cause of the failure was the cable broke at the end by the little crimped ball that is load bearing.

Replaced mine yesterday, regulator and motor for $30 off Amazon! Auto Zone and everyone else wanted 60-$100 for them.

look at the regulator and motor attaching screws. 2 of the ones for the motor and one of the top screws, the holes are slotted in the door. you just need to loosen these.......then when you remove the regulator swap those 3 screws over to the new regulator/motor unit, and just slide the screws into the slots. it will hold the assembly for easier assembly.

This is a great video, you're about to save me a bunch of money dude By the way, I found this video that solves the problem you mentioned at the end, about how to restore the automatic function of the window (basically, turn key in ignition twice without cranking, lower all the way and keep button down for 3 mississippis, and then roll the window all the way back up, keeping the switch up for 3 mississippis .. this resets the function somehow. it's demonstrated in the video)

the auto function can be easily programmer, by lower window and hold it for 5 seconds the rise it and hold it for 5 seconds, and you got your auto function on your after market switch.

Thank brother. I saw another video that must have been for the 4 door, because the trim was different. 7th gen 4 banger coupes are the best. Just got all my trim off and it started raining, will update w/ how it goes. My window is stuck UP, I assume I can force it down to access the bolts when ready.

Thanks for the info. I replaced both motors and now have operating windows and money stays in my pocket. The post by Calvin Chen is pretty much on hit for resetting the automatic window feature, similar to resetting the alarm. Thanks again!

Hope somebody answer my question (Honda Accord 2006). Can a glass window ran in its canals so bad to the point that burnt the electric motor? This question is because I just installed a new motor and regulator (combo) and it worked for a little while then burned fuse… after replacing fuse and with the window switch in my hands I connected the old electric motor (out of the window) and it runs perfectly. Now I ended with the window driver stacked all the way up just like in this video… but with a new part in it. Note.- If there is any video dealing with this same issue… can you post the link?

great video bud! for whatever reason after i replaced my motor and regulator, my door panel wouldn't seat correctly, and now its just crooked. i've tried to put it back every which way, just won't sit in place correctly

i have sadly learned to never buy car parts on amazon. multiple times on both of my vehicles, things I have ordered have not fit despite using the vehicle fit checker. hot garbage. Now I go to either Rock Auto, Oreily, or Napa.

I just install a motor and regulator in a Honda accord 2005 and was working fine for 30 minutes and then it just freeze happily the window was closed. What’s going on?

The door cable always always be nice with that plastic or is going to be an extra job..if you dont put a new one the same day door wont open from inside

Good video. How do you get the regulator to move in order to pull the bolts that hold the window base? Is there something to release? My friend has one of these but the regulator is stuck at the bottom.

I think you forgot a part on the instructions. You didn't show us how to put the door latch back on.
