My well is a submersible pump and the pipe comes up throught the well cap. Can i still put a T fitting on the pipe coming up through the well cap and install a hand pump on it? If so, could I still pump water by hand if my submersible pump lost power or stopped working? If this will work, I plan to install a T fitting and hook up the hand pump to that, and install a valve that I can turn off beside the T fitting (the pipe that runs to the house. ) Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for any feedback. Good content man.
I like that idea you got I was thinking is there anyway put swivel on the pitcher pump and still hold pressure so it will not lose it prime so you can fill 5 gallon bucket with it
Instead of installing the second check valve, couldn’t you just shut off the quarter turn valve you installed? Then it wouldn’t free-flow when the electric pump is running?
I was thinking the same thing. I probably would've just left it the way it was. Worst case the tank pressure drops and eventually the water stops, but I do wonder if that would've pulled a vacuum on the well tank. Hmm?
I'm in Pennsylvania. Our regular well pump is in our basement. Can I T off of the waterline in the basement rather than right off the well head? Unfortunately my well is right in the middle of my driveway
