FireWalk I have an akai midi controller. how do I set up the vst for it? like I might want a certain sound for the keys and another for the drum pad. plz help ;;3;;
well i really fooled my self for a long time now , i Always thought that i have to install plugins in the C drive but thanks to you're video now i know it doesn't matter so i can also install my plugins in the D drive and make a folder special only for plugins . thanks man for this video ;)
All though this video was intended for the absolute beginner, I can totally see how this can cause confusion even among more seasoned users. Various plugins tend to install to different folders, and often people are left wondering why their plugins don't show up. Making sure to install to a dedicated location makes everything nice and organized. Personally, I have a dedicated SSD disks for my VST and samples, which makes it quicker to load projects and plugins inside FL itself. :)
Mild squash hot flavour bro it’s been 9 months no one has responded i get the same exact shit it’s starting to irritate me to the point i want money back lol

i have a problem, the plugins are in fl 20, but for what ever reason i cant really use them. I can apply them to my mixer, but they dont work. can some1 help me with that?
@@FireWalkMusic I don't know if he has the same problem, but I've encountered a serious problem on FL 20. When I put a plugin file into the FL Studio 20-Plugins-VST folder, then I go to FL, Plugin Database-Installed and as we know it should be in the Generators-VST folder, but for some reason it always puts the files to Effects-VST and then obviously they won't work as a plugin. Have you encountered this before or know anything about it?
Hello Firewalk, I have a question to ask. Many plugin developers have their synth/effect plugins in VST, VST2 and VST3. What I'm supposed to use and why? what's the difference between vst, vst2, vst3?
What happens if you just restart your computer and try again when this happens? does it work then? or do you need to install the whole thing for it to work?
If the effects plugin doesn't have an installer, i just can't find it anywhere. No matter where i drag the files and make a folder, the finder just doesn't locate the plugin. Any help?
FireWalk on some of the free vsts is hard to find the file sometimes I deleted from the file and it still popping up on FL Studio so I go to the plugin installing deleted from there some are still popping up I don't know why
You have to check your VST folder. There's probably a .dll file left there. That's what FL really sees as the vst. To find your vst folder, go to options and file settings. You'll see the vst folder listed there.
Hahaha do you get that a lot @@FireWalkMusic ? Also, I love the videos, been watching a bunch of them lately since I just got FL20. Very helpful, I appreciate it!
I just downloaded 2 string vst's. They are called DSK and Total Composure. I can't install them because they downloaded as zip folders and in the folders, there are list of items. Whenever I click on any item, it says 'how do you want to open this file". Do you know what is the problem or what I can do?
There should be some .dll files in there. That's the VST itself. If you go to your FL Studio file settings (options -> file settings) then it should display your vst folder. I suggest placing the folder containing the files for DSK and Total Composure inside that folder. Then perform a new scan (make sure verify plugins is enabled). After that it should work.
I thought you need to install the vst into your computer first, before you can "start scan" in the FL. But I can't install them and this is the problem. Anyway, when I scan in the FL like you showed in the video, I can't see the vst in the list. I think because I couldn't installed them into my computer. Do you recommend any string vsts?
Not all vst's come with an installation, some times it's just a few files. In that case, just do as I said and place the files inside a folder inside your vst folder, so that when you re-scan they will be found. :)
If you intend to include presets and such I would just create another folder named "presets" and place it in there and name it after the plugin and the instrument name in the mix. For example "realpiano preset (main piano).mse"
Hei, Steve er fra USA og det er han som tar seg av pratingen. Tror ikke kanalen hadde gjort det like bra om det var jeg som tok meg av pratingen selv. :)
1:02 I dont see where these windows come from, i dont see what you are clicking on to invoke these windows to install plugins, its as if they are voice activated. this habit seems to be common with professional videos.
Hey, it's just the file manager in windows. Just click on "my computer" and browse to wherever you downloaded your installer and double click on it The location will vary from person to person.
