if you are testing your server and you are encountering the "An error occurred. Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again later. If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details. Faithfully yours, nginx." error then in the C: ginx\htdocs location replace the "\"'s to a "/".

I tried to install caddy but windows wouldnt recognize it when i added it to path. Fiugured i was gonna have a similar time with nginx. Im actually using node as my server but i need a reverse proxy so...

Hello, thank you for the tutorial. I downloaded 1.24.0 and, when you go to the cmd prompt, it throws and error. So, I went back and added a backslash to the path in the environmental variables. So, the location is C: ginx\

If you don't want to unzip the file with nginx's files use a compressed file format opener like 7-zip and winrar

i have added port 8080 it is runing in local host 8080 and localhost also how is this possible

When I change the server to 8080, save, refresh in command center, and then refresh the browser, it doesn't give me the 404 message. it looks the same.

But how can we again restart nginx
