How to install and use SideStore (JitStreamer)

It's been a month and some change since I last uploaded the updated video for running Jitstreamer with your iOS devices. Currently, I heard the server is down and many of you are having issues using the JIT streamer Jit. To remedy this situation I created this new tutorial, introducing a new method to not only run JIT, but also sideload apps.
Created by the same creators of JITSREAMER, the team has released its own sideloading method. The front-end store is "SideStore". I'm very excited to show you how to fully set up this new method as well as to show you how powerful SideStore fully is.
This is SideStore: SideStore is an alternative app store that aims to make sideloading apps as seamless as possible. No jailbreak is needed, and you don't need a computer after the initial install, only a WiFi connection.
And today I will show you how all of this works.

After using this installation process make sure to refresh SideStore from within the SideStore app. After this you need to delete Altstore app in order to avoid conflicts between the apps. Also as mentioned by @Skullhead1924 JIT is not working for iOS 17! Yet!

You don’t need it after this, also you can refresh SideStore inside of the sidestore app using WireGuard.

I´m watching these videos like I really need JIT enabled, jumping all these hoops and stuff, and once I started using Flycast it didn't ask for JIT. And then when I was downloading Sidestore I noticed that you can enable JIT from AltServer on your PC, and it stays enabled until you close the app that needs JIT enabled.

Interestingly, I don’t recall using a computer to enable JIT to play the PS2 Play! emulator on iPhone. But I can’t remember what I did. I just setup ZeroTier One and it worked like a charm.

Hey, I followed everything in the video but when I try to install an app on sidestore it says “The operation couldn’t be completed. Unable to install the app from the staging directory” Is there any way to fix this?

Delete the app from the Home Screen. Reboot the device and try again. Just heads up this happens a lot with social media apps, and pirate software (games)

I’m so lost. I’m trynna get it working but I never had jitstreamer installed I’m trying to just play sonic adventure but its staring to make me lil Frustrated. You will need a new pairing file, also if you are using iOS 17 beta it won’t work. Is currently not supported.

You need to download it from sidestore, they have the configuration in a file. Then you just need to import it and it will do the setup automatically.

Is there anyway I can make play! Emulator not crash on my iPad Pro m1 without needing a pc? Because I can’t get my hands on a pc, I know it needs something called JIT or whatever, is there an app which lets you activate JIT like an ipa file or something so I can download it in scarlet and be done with it? Please help, I’ve downloaded play! Emulator and I even downloaded a ps2 game and put it in the emulator but when I press it, it crashes the app, plz help

The only way to do it is by running JIT. You can do this by using SideStore. Going to my app in since of SideStore. Holding the app and selecting enable jit. You need to be connected to the vpn for this to work. I have many tutorials on how to do this.

Well, worked great for about 12 hours. Everything fine, but now I go to open sidestore on my phone (iphone 8, iOS 16.3) the apps loads a grey screen for about half a second, then crashes. Tried rebooting my phone and disconnecting/connecting wireguard, and hasn't helped. happened yesterday, and just re downloaded altstore then side store, but don't wanna have to keep doing that. Any ideas on why it keeps crashing after couple hours of it working fine. Thanks

You can avoid reinstalling altstore to load sidestore by using altserver to just install SideStore. I haven’t got this issue there’s something wrong you probably did.

Tried looking it up, but results get flooded with "altstore" instead (I'm prolly dumb tho haha) Also, is this currently not working on iOS 17 cause developers haven't supported it? Or did apple do something for it to straight up not work, cause i plan on getting the iphone 15, which will come with iOS 17 built in, thanks

While running altserver on pc hold left shift and click on altserver. You will see and option to sideload ipa instead of install altstore.

for anyone else seeing this and having the same problem, i found the answer, as soon as you sign into apple id thru sidestore, you have to refresh the app instantly via sidestore. Shouldnt crash anymore, cause if it is crashing, you can go to settings, general, VPN and profiles, and you will see it crashes cause it un-verifys itself 👍🏼

You need to get the SideStore ipa and load it with Altstore. After doing so you will need to refresh SideStore from within the app and then delete Altstore

No, this is an older video, you can use altserver to install sidestore. Hold the left shift then click altserver and you should see an option to sideload ipa. Then I hit sideload and select sidestore.

You need to have wireguard on and then jit will work, if you saw how I did it in the video with the example.

Yes,the app will expired early, you will encounter bugs where the app won't install other apps or simply just crash while doing updates or installing apps. Not recommended to use those sources.

You need to trust your device while creating the file. The best method to renacer the file is by email the file to yourself. Then save the file to the apple files app. If you put the file on iCloud or google drive it won’t work due to a weird glitch that will change the extension of the file name. Do the email to yourself part then save it to the files app. Then open sidestore and pair the file.

If you activate JIT once, does it continue with Wi-Fi disconnected? And is any Wi-Fi (means pocket Wi-Fi or free Wi-Fi etc.) compatible with this JIT method?

It will be activated as long as the app is still running. If you close the app or the device close then you will need to re enable it. For the 2nd yes as long as you are on wifi, this also includes mobile hotspot from another device. 3rd if you are on iOS 17 the JIT won’t work. Currently theres not a method for this. There’s one but you will need to use a Mac.

Inside sidestore, bottom panel look for browse, then top right corner. Click sources and add all those trusted sources. You will find the emulators in there.

This work on windows, im using windows. For scarlet no, there are many issues with that, trollstore, esign. This is the best version is just like altstore but better.

I was told from one of the devs that only if you have a Mac PC using Xcode to make a personalized disk img. This mean the disk img will only work with your device. I haven’t been able to test this since I do not own a Mac.

It could be your network is blocking it. But recently they were having issues with their server. Should be up and running again

iOS 17 has this issue and the current SideStore version 5.0 and 5.01. You will need to go on SideStore GitHub and get version 4.0 which is the more stable version in my opinion.

Yup sidestore has that feature with wireguard. Just make sure you are not on ios 17 beta, do not use ios17 beta is not compatible

Hi, I'm trying to download any app on Sidestore, and I followed every single step on your video, but when I try to download the aps (such as DolphinIOS or EmuthreeDS) an error comes to me like: "An error ocurred when getting anisette data from V3 server: Couldn't fecht client info. The answer for the issue is shown in the video at 20:18 make sure to copy everything as swhon there. Continue from that point thats the V3 error fix, also if you installed nightly, install stablet 0.4.0 on top of nightly so it can be upgraded.

Just need to restart sidestore, disconnect from WireGuard then restart your device. If you keep getting the error could be the ipa. Also if the app came from scarlet or something like that. Like if wasn’t from sidestore or altstore process can cost issues.

When you refresh sidestore leave to the home menu and it should refresh with 0 issues right after.

Did you follow the instructions and download it all apps from the site. Specially iTunes, iCloud as well no other type of sideload apps using scarlet or anything like that? One more thing do you have enough profiles available?

No, only when apple release an update or a hot fix update. They change some settings and then you will need a pairing file. If you don’t update you won’t need it. If you do update and notice it doesn’t work that means you will need the pairing file.

@@osamakhalid429 if you updated your iOS then you will need a new pairing file. Reset the pairing by going to SideStore, settings and select reset pairing file. SideStore will close and when you open will ask for the pairing file. Make sure to pair the new file not the old one.

Just incase you haven't, make sure to extrat the file. If you are running jitterbug pair from the zip file it won't work. Extract the files the run the .exe.

You need to use WireGuard with the configuration file I showed in the video. From within sidestore you will need to go app, then hold UTM app and select enable JIT. The app should run properly after this. If you still have issues message me on discord, I get out from work in 1 hour.

I’m using windows, if you are on Mac you will need to get the jitterbug pair app for Mac. When you go on the sidestore site. It will identify your os, and it will give you the right pairing app. If you haven’t had Altstore set up wii will need to do so. You need altstore for the first time to setup sidestore and from there you won’t be needing it.

You need to go to settings and verify the app. If you are on iOS 16 or higher you need to enable developer mode. Also if that fails sideload the app with altserver by holding left shift then click the altstore logo on your pc and select sideload then select SideStore ipa.

You can create another Apple ID for that use. Also the misconception of having another Apple ID doesn’t mean it has to be login in your device (under settings or App Store) is not need it. Is only need it to sign the app as well to be inside of altstore or sidestore. The new Apple ID won’t replace your existing one.

But I have done some cool things with a side loader called Scarlet I managed to download Fnaf with ipa files I have dolphin iOS and retro artch for Dreamcast it’s easier than flycast but I need jit witch is why I want to install altstore because jit streamer doesn’t work anymore for anyone and every few day scarlet stops working so I have to delete all my hard work and then I have to wait for when I am redownload it when I am trusting it and it’s from a new corporation if it’s from the same one as last time, it won’t work

Another thing I forgot to mention, if this is an app that acts as a tweak (or replacement) there will be conflicts. Meaning you will need to delete the original app that it will be tweaking to avoid the conflict.

It is kinda pre-release software (meaning unfinished) so it kinda makes sense. Plus from sounds of it they are fixing it. The current nightly that was made very recently requires a fresh install (remove the app) of sidestore to make the expire early bug go away and has v3 anisette which seems to fix my locking problem. From what it seems they needed testing so they released the program on their discord and people kinda swarmed in and expanded it. They say at 1.0.0 is when it should be truly stable for the most part.

The social media apps has many issues. Also the JIT you need to enséñale the WireGuard app when you need to use the JIT or it will not work. Is simply flipping a switch on and off. If it doesn’t work close sing both apps will fix it. That’s how I use it and make my emulator videos.

If you use all app I’d you won’t be able to. Also if is a server issue under setting (inside the app) go to advanced setting . Change ani server to dr pudding. Under the custom ani it bore the one I was using then check prefer ani. Reboot and it should be working.

No problem, after you have everything install, sidestore and WireGuard do the following. Enable the WireGuard connection from the app, open sidestire. Go to apps, hold down the app you want to enable JIT, select enable JIT. The app will launch with JIT enable. If for some reason this doesn’t work just turn wifi on and off then repeat the steps. Also in some cases you need to enable the JIT option available in some apps. For example the PlayStation 2 emulator “Play!” Has this option inside of the app settings as well as the EmuThreeDS emulator.

As long as you are using the nightly and the anitte server I showed you will be good to go. In some cases it has the same errors as altstore. Can be fix by closing sidestore and reopening. If issues persist you need to turn on and off WireGuard like I shown in this video.

Pairing files cannot be downloaded. Meaning you can’t use someone else’s. The pairing file is an unique ID for your device. As I explained all of this in this video. Just pay attention to the tutorial or mute me. I’m remaking the video. When I make it with less talking people are like you need to say more, when is with a lot people say the same thing as you. Beside I was trying to covert all the questions I was going to have. Fun fact people ask me the same question I answered in the video, even the ones I troubleshoot. Another fun fact I covered a lot on this video and people don’t watch it all the way and in 30sec they start asking questions. When this video is to guide people they just complain about it.
