The same procedure can be used to install multiple instances of the operating system as well.
Virtualbox: www.virtualbox.org/
Ubuntu 16.0: releases.ubuntu.com/16.04/
Install Guest Additions using the code in terminal:
sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r)
#virtualbox #os #windows #unbiased

I tried installing PureOS on it and after installing guest additions from terminal, restarted the virtual machine. But it simply has the error machine that Fatal: no bootable medium found. Please advise on how I can address this issue?

It took only 2 seconds for me. It shouldn't take too long. Try using a different ethernet cable.

Oh my bad. Was replying to someone else as well :( It is not dependent on your pc specs but rather on how much you allocate to your VM

Sad. Try maybe increasing the allocated RAM since i checked with my friends as well. No one had this issue so far.

mouse over the grey section on the top of the screen, you should be able to click (hold) and then drag the screen left/right to show the hidden continue button

Yeah bro. It's the same procedure. Just create another virtual machine and install whichever os you want. You can have both open simultaneously as well.

Try restarting the virtual machine. It might be due to the low virtual storage.

Some laptops have different bios button, try with Delete key or Escape key If not, try googling your model of laptop and check how to enter bios menu. A sub to the channel would mean a lot! 😊
