00:12 Explanation of disassembly and connect G Monitor cable
01:40 Route GVIF cable no. 2
02:40 Reconnect the OEM monitor
03:14 Connect the G Main cable to OEM radio
04:26 Connect the G MIC cable to OEM radio
05:45 Connect the G AUX cable to OEM radio and to CarPlay USB AUX cable
09:25 Connect GVIF cable no.1 to OEM radio
10:32 Connect the CAN cable
11:19 Connect Reverse cable and Touch cable to G Main cable
12:18 Route CarPlay cables down to the passenger side kick panel area
14:41 Connect CarPlay cables to the CarPlay Set Top Box
17:01 Place CarPlay Set Top box in kick panel area
17:54 Route CarPlay USB cable
19:19 Reassembly process

Installing CarPlay on the last Gen Infiniti’s such as the G, EX, FX, early QX50, QX70 and Q70 are so worth it. With CarPlay they are better than the current crop of Infiniti’s in every way possible….this is a game changer.

While listening to the radio is there a way that car play can be listened through the car speakers and not unavis speaker? Sometimes is very hard to listen. I installed unavis wireless car play on my Q50

Hello, no the vehicle has 1 AUX port and we use it for sound on the CarPlay system and will sound the same as OEM. Thank you for your comment!!

One thing I noticed is that the volume for Siri is very low.

This seems tp be an issue with Apple software during the last update, we are hoping they fix this with the next. Thanks!! Here are some pointers from Apple forum: When Siri is talking and providing directions, you can use ether the volume control on the steering wheel or the radio itself to adjust the volume just for Siri. Adjusting the volume when Siri is not talking will adjust the volume for whatever you are listening too. But when playing around with the volume when Siri is talking - you can adjust the volume independently of other audio sources you have. Hope that helps
