It sure wouldn’t go on the threads to prevent corrosion hahahaha I laughed my ass off when I saw that
@camillosteuss
@camillosteuss 5 лет назад
it indeed does prevent corrosion on bolts and threads and its always a good idea to finger rub in the grease onto every thread that you can to make it last much longer and be easier to reinstall at a later date... but yeah, greasing those ball joints was also a part of the job... a job well done is one in which every part that can be greased is if its not protected in some other way from oxidation...

A big HEY from Greece! I fitted a strut from an old hatchback on my NB MX-5, which went on the passenger's side (driver's for us), on the front hole where the stock airbox pipe used to sit. It couldn't be fitted on the bonnet's hinge though, as the firewall sits too high, thus preventing it to close. The "Diagnosis" plug was also in the way of the newly fitted strut, so I took the little plate it sat on, bent ii and place it facing the firewall. Takes some thought making even the slightest of mods look stock.

Greasing threads just stops them rusting and seizing, they won't come undone.
@TheLukey21
@TheLukey21 10 лет назад
The grease is to stop them seizing and rusting so you can take them out if you need to, they sometimes use grease on wheelnuts so you can get them off easily.

This is amazing! This is the new wave/trend supporting the import tuner scene...official DIY videos from car-gurus like these guys! Keep it coming! By the way, I think you guys should invest in an MA70 Supra Turbo for future project car videos! I just got my first Supra (88' 5spd Targa Turbo) after waiting/wanting one for 7 years for a couple grand! They're a great "Bang-for-Buck" car and for a few mods/$ invested, you can see substantial gains in Hp! For example, I'll be ordering a ball/spring type MBC and installing it with your DIY bleed valve video for instructions.

the bracket bolted to the hood will eventually rotate since it's only held in by one bolt. this can rotate enough to cause the damper to occupy the same time and space with the fender, damaging it... modify the bracket to use a 2nd fixed point to prevent rotation.

Love the S2000. I normally don't like Honda's because they tend to be driven by ricers and are slow econoboxes, but the s2000 is a truly great sportscar (just like the nsx). It has a timeless design and incredible engineering. Just goes to show what Honda is capable of. Too bad they don't have anything like this in their line up anymore.

I don't understand the hype for VTEC. Almost all modern cars have a form of automatic valve timing adjustments of some sort usually opening the engines up either the more the throttle, or higher the RPMs. Albeit VTEC is sometimes more agressive than other forms of valve timing, since it's made for higher RPMs but meh. Even my 2005 Hyundai Sonata V6 has variable valve timing and it's maaaad.

Marcus Maingot Honda doesn't really advertise their little civilian daily driver cars as SUPER RICER FAST FART CAN VTEC YO. REV IT TILL IT BLOWS FOR THAT MAAAD VTEC POWER SPIKE. :/ i've been in and driven Honda's, I don't understand the hype of that bit of power you get past like 5K RPMs like you get in almost all vehicles...

Violetta It's just better. Look at your Hyundai. Has 170 horsepower from a v6. Whereas the RSX type S 02-06 or w/e year it is has 200 from a 4 cylinder. It's just better. It also doesn't matter if its past 5k rpms. That's what downshifting is for.
