how do we scan to file or email? When I try to do that it says it is connecting to computer.

1) How is your printer connected to your computer? Is it through USB cable or what? 2) Do you want to scan the document from the printer's button or from the scanning software from your computer?

Sure, I'll help you to diagnose and resolve the printer setup problem. Please answer the following questions. 1) What is the name of the USB port that you have selected while installing the printer manually? 2) Provide the whole error message here. (Provide its screenshot at if possible) 3) When did this error occur? - at which movement? 4) Is your printer detected in "Device Manager" 5) On which operating system are you trying to install this printer?
