Everytime I download and run as administrator cakewalk after confirming the language it showed unable to install and verify my connection but my internet connection is Ok. what should i do?
@monsoon008 The bandlab cloud servers sometimes have a bad day and connectivity can be a problem. Try again a few hours (or perhaps a day or 2) later. I also recommend you log in to your bandlab account on bandlab.com before installing, as the install will require you to log in to your account to authorise the install.
When I try to install it, the downloading of additional files take 2 to 3 hours and then it says time out or failed to download. What should I do, kindly guide me.
@peer55 Hi, first check your download folder. There should be a CakewalkSetup.exe file... Double clicking on that will try to download Cakewalk_by_Bandlab_Setup_29.09.0.108.exe file (you will need an internet connection to download). If you download folder also has a folder called Cakewalk, with a file called Cakewalk_by_Bandlab_Setup_29.09.0.108.exe in it, then you have downloaded cakewalk and just need to double click on this file to install Cakewalk. The bandlab cloud servers have good days and bad days, so sometimes you might have to wait and try again another day (preferably at a different time of day).
@goldenikechukwu131 Cakewalk is just under 2GB Download should download a 1.68MB file to your download folder called CakewalkSetup. Click on the CakewalkSetup file to install Cakewalk. Pretty much all of it gets installed to a folder called Cakewalk Content, on your C drive. A couple of times over the last few years, the download has stopped working for a few days, so it may be an issue with the bandlab cloud servers.
Hi. After installing cakewalk and opening it, the start screen pop up is blank and does not show the options for projects such as basic, 4 track, 16 track, etc. How can I fix this?
@darthspade At top left of screen, click on Edit, then click on Preferences. On the popup preferences window, click on Folder Locations (in the File section on the left side of the window). Now, on the right side of the window you should the 2nd row from the top says... Templates and in the textbox it should say... C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Project Templates. If it doesn't, type it in and click on OK at the bottom of the preferences window. If it does... Check that folder location on your computer's C drive and make sure the templates are in the folder (basic, vocals, 4-track, etc).
@givinsstaelkoudimba7211 Hi, you need an internet connection to download and install Cakewalk, and also to activate Cakewalk the first time you open the Cakewalk app. You don't need an internet connection to use Cakewalk though.
hi have problem with the cakewalk ive already installed the app but i cannot save or export my project it says i need to ACTIVATE it can you please make a tutorial on how to activate..thank you so much
@jasperremolta2528 Hi, go to the bandlab.com website and either click on Log In and log into your bandlab account or click on Sign Up and create a bandlab account. Once you have logged into your bandlab account, start cakewalk. Cakewalk will then access your bandlab account and activate your cakewalk install.
@serene969 The bandlab cloud servers can get pretty busy on some days, so sometimes it's best to try again at a different time of day (or another day altogether).
@user-wv9kx1tr9b Hi, you need to login to your bandlab account on the bandlab.com website (or create a new bandlab account), on the same computer as cakewalk. Then, while logged into your bandlab account (and still connected to the Internet), start cakewalk. Your bandlab account will activate Cakewalk.
@capybara.tv_yt Cakewalk is owned by Bandlab and is downloaded from BandLab.com, so no virus. It's just an old DAW that they bought from Gibson (guitars), who bought it from Roland (originally called Sonar X1) and has had pretty much all the pay-for stuff removed... So pretty much the same as Sonar X1 lite (that was bundled with Roland gear as a freebie).
