You can find emblems anywhere, Amazon, Autozone, O'Riely's, Walmart, etc. But if you want stock emblems you'd be best off going to the car manufacturer website!
I’d wouldn’t recommend tracing the tape with the letters. You can see the edge of the tape around the letters still. Cut the tape slightly smaller than the size of the letters to get cleaner lines.
I find clear rtv a small bead on back of badge holds great, if ever removed it us like rubber easy to remove not damaging paint. If a bit of rtv oozes out it is clear so hides pretty well
Good question! Honestly I don’t have any other recommendations myself. I’ve seen this to be the most effective & cheapest solution! I’m sure there are plenty out there! Hope this helped
You can use 3m super adhesive glue though.. but it might be difficult to stick the emblems which have are hollow.. like the one you saw in video.: you need a double side tape for those kind of badges or letters..!
You know I didn't even think about those options but that can 100% work as well! I use alcohol because I know it evaporats quickly and is safe on paint, technology, just about anything! But Acetone & turpentine work too! Thanks for sharing :)
Oh man! I'm sorry to hear that, mine is still holding strong even after almost a year! Did you follow the instructions when installing? I hope I can help :)
Don't think it matters looking at the state of the back of his car, all those paint chips, dents and scratches. Wondering if he drives to work in reverse.
If you had to chose, go with Double sided tape, I fear that glue with ruin the paint and drip all over. Making a mess and potentially falling off in a month or two due to severe weather, hot or cold.
the link u posted is for the half inches tape. is that the same size you used in the video? in the video the tape looks more than 1/2 inches. waiting on a reply. thank you
Any adhesive will work relatively fine. The only reason I chose 3M is to protect the paint underneath the letter, and to get a solid, uniform fit to adhere aggressively onto the car. I hope this gives good insight! Thanks for asking!
@@rammiq thank you I am thinking of relocating the letters on my Silverado like the new ones under the bow tie maybe it comes out cool now thanks to you 🙏🏻 you have a new subscriber, I love your videos
@@carlosramos1189 Thank you Carlos! I really hope that turns out great for ya! The new Silverado letter placements look sleek and if you do it, I know it will turn out great! Cheers man and thanks for subscribing 😃
No they don’t! I can speak from experience and I’ve gone to the car wash numerous times and the letters are still strong! Even when hand washing, I brush over with my sponge with significant force and its on there strong! Hope this helps!
