I'm thinking about doing this since I've been running into connection and DNS issues relaying a wireless hotspot to more than five devices. Does the mode switch function? Should I absolutely not be questioning this and just do it? Will I be answering my own question probably.
Trying to do this from a mac - which has default tftpd server sw installed - but being a mac book pro doesn't have an ethernet. Is a hard ether connection mandatory, or can this work over wifi?
The switch does nothing after you flash openwrt, and in order to get the same functionality as you did on stock you need to manually configure the networking in openwrt. There is no guided setup like in the stock firmware. I flashed back to stock because even though I know how to set up all modes manually in openwrt, I am not going to sit in a hotel room and configure it using my phone every time I go on holiday.
@@arebokert Thanks. This made me not even try to perform the install. The TP-Link app in "share hot-spot Mode" does not work (AT ALL), but the web interface is workable if you go from hotel to hotel.
Hi,. My "Tp-Link Archer c50 V1" router is bricked and would like to get help in this regard. I flashed Openwrt firmware on it using web gui of the router. After this the router went to bootloop with single led and then all led's blinking in alternate fashion with 2 sec delay. I used the TFTPD to read log file and then flashed the original firmaware back after renaming it as per tftpd log .After this the router bricked further(the red led glows for a sec when I power on the router but then no Led's blink).I cannot use tftpd at this stage .Is there any way to still get it working?
Please help me.. I have same router and Huawei dongle modem.. dongle not connect to router only routers light blinking showing unplugged.. how it solve tell me
JFC even if the tutorial is 100% correct, the editing is horrible. Like how the instructions open from the center.... and are then partially blocked by the logo in the bottom...
