How refreshing to see someone passing on their skill, knowledge and top tips to the next generation; done in a very friendly and patient way too. Fantastic work Tony.

Hey man great to hear some one from Australia thanks for your kind words my daughter loved it for the year she was over there, would love to see for myself one day have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
Videos like this, and a clear explanation of how to plan and execute a job is the reason i started watching A&E. Great training for the younger guys on site.
Hey Tony much appreciated it’s been crazy good busy with lots of planning applications and launching Trutrade so very exciting times but wouldn’t have it any other way have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
Great Vid Tony,,, Loved watching it as ive laid miles and miles of Main drainage in my younger days and worked in and on pumping stations and rising mains,,, The drainage these days are so much more easier to lay with the onset of plastic,,,(Thank God). I still keep my hand in now and then for builders and plumbers,,, once a drainer always a drainer I say,,, Loved it. Best Wishes and great to see back.
Hi Ray thanks for your kind words, I’ve always loved doing drainage, plastic makes life so much easier, so glad to hear that you are keeping your hand in and passing your knowledge forward it’s so important have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
nice to watch someone that actually knows how to install drains, if all the builders I met during my time working for Building Control installed drains as well as you guys, I would have had a lot less headaches
Really brilliant and very informative, needs to be planned correctly and all the falls considered and then I assume tested ahead of concrete being installed.
Hi Gary that’s the only thing I should of showed the drop test but I have shown this in another video maybe should of linked the two but yes you are correct always do the drop test before pour have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
Great shout we did that many years ago that tip in our very early videos I should of mentioned it a guy called Rob Moore showed me that trick incredible tradesman he was with me for 12 years then started his own very successful business. Have a cracking week all the best Tony 👍
Really nice informative “makes sense” video …thanks for sharing. Your work is top notch great quality you know exactly what you’re doing! Keep up the great work it’s brilliant
Great video Tony. I usually put a bead of stixall on both sides of the clay to plastic collar before I tighten it in position. That way I know it's 100% forever 👊🏽🙏🏽
Good video Tony 🤙🏼 Just be mindful of not flooding yourself out when the NRV’s are closed during the rainy season, especially with it being a combined system. Leamingtons sewers are quite suseptable to backing up during this period. Take care mate 🤙🏼
Hey Marty absolutely spot on that’s why we have none return values on all outlets because Leamington is bad for flooding via backing up have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
Much appreciated I would use Stainless Steel band or support under which ever is easy if no damp issues you can use Galv Band hope this helps all the best Tony 👍
All too often I see trades not wanting to share knowledge as they think they’re protecting their own interests. The only way to maintain and improve construction is to pass on everything you can to the next generation. It’s just fair payment for the income the industry has given you.
Hi Tim couldn’t agree more passing knowledge is the most valuable and crucial thing we should do as tradesman have a wonderful week all the best Tony 👍
Been doing our drive and all our paths when I’m not at work and have time , broke up some concrete and noticed the seal had gone on a joint on our soil pipe onto the clay part , so had to take it all to pieces and replace it , was a nightmare trying to push the new coupler on tried twisting it but had to gently tap into place with rubber mallet in the end
@@BuildWithAE spent two hours yesterday afternoon fixing my car with my kids, great stuff 😁 Otherwise I've been at work earning money for them to spend on things they don't need 🤣
