How to install Fabricmate track system for acoustic walls. This video will detail the acoustic treatment install in a small commercial (rent by the hour) studio in Los Angeles that we are in the process of finishing. Using the Fabricmate fabric track system gives you a clean and professional finished look. You may have seen this system used in large offices, banks, movie theaters, and recording studios. The Fabricmate track system allows you to easily replace the fabric should it get too dirty or you simply want to change colors.
I included some helpful tips and tricks using various common carpentry tools and talked a little bit about different issues that came up during the project and how we worked around them or fixed them.

Yes, I have a long list of videos I will be making on panel building. First I need to build the channel up a bit so I will be making a video on how to make these panels as cheap as possible with very minimal work and one trip to the local Home Depot.

I would love to install this one for 2 that I have to do. They are 180”w x 118”L. I have to install them by the 15th of March. Do you think I can put this order and receive it on time? These are for Palm Beach. Please let me know ASAP so if I have to order them. Love these trainings. You explain it so well😊

How much does this process cost per yard to install? I have a room ~143 sq yards, old foam under fabric, all one [piece up to the 20-foot ceilings.

Do you use 1 strip of track to tuck in 2 adjoining sections, or are there two slots for the end of one panel and the start of another one?

1 piece of track. Track is expensive and I try to use the least amount possible for these types of projects

Interesting, why you not pre-wrapping the perimeter trim work which looks much better as final product (no matter what trims you use). Joints of insulation bit rough as well. (Don't get me wrong, don't want to insult you or anything) 💪💪💪

I have a million reasons why I do what I do. This is a commercial pay by the hour studio that we built on a super tight budget. I actually took it over from someone else who had gone over budget already. The prewrapping would be a waste of time since it was black track butting up to black mouldings. If you are worried about joints of insulation in broadband acoustic treatment then I have no idea what to tell you. You should see the shit I see in "million dollar" studios in Los Angeles. You will probably have a panic attack

How did you install baseboard over the fabric ?

I did not install baseboard over the fabric. The baseboard is installed first and the fabric track butts up to the baseboard. This is the proper way to do it.
