Coming from retroarch, I thought this was lame. We already have a channel forwarder for atmosphere, regular updates, wireless joycons didn't work, and I couldn't find my already-installed roms (but didnt look hard enough). Worst part is I couldn't figure out how to exit back to hekate without rebooting and reinjecting the payload.
From the game you press down on both joysticks and this should bring up a menu to exit the game, from the hekate menu you can exit by pressing reboot and during the reboot hold down the - volume button
I have been trying to get this working for a couple hours now and have been stuck on the loading screen for Lakka. I tried dumping the joycons and reformatting the SD into FAT32 and still cannot get this to launch. Also, I am injecting via a physical payload injector USB that just plugs into the switch. Any pointers on what could be going wrong?
This guy and nobody tell you about fat32 is not good if you SD card is more than 32gb, DONT USE fat32 IF YOU SD CARD IS MORE THAN 32 GB, USE A SECOND SD CARD ONLY FOR LAKKA WITH 32GB OR LESS SPACE.
This should be pinned: IF YOU SD CARD IS MORE THAN 32GB IS PROBABLY FORMATTED AS EXFAT WHICH DO NOT LET LAKKA WORK PROPERLY, YOU NEED A SECOND SD CARD WITH 32GB OR LESS FORMATED AS FAT32.
@@aegiswing And what if this SD card is 1 tb? Will this allow me to have more than one partition and work fine with the switch? I haven't tested, Do the switch can read a SD card with different partitions?
Hey man, your vids have been really helpful for getting started on modding. Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to install MelonDS? I keep running into problem after problem with it.
melonds is working perfectly for me!! i have it installed in homebrew app (not in retroarch). i have all the BIOS files and everything and it works GREAT!!
Awesome! Worked perfectly! Any idea how I can update the Dolphin core? I have a rotating camera issue in all the games but I can't find any fixes that work for this specific install
Use to happen to me too, is because newest version of hekate ctcaer is 6.0.1, i was using 5.9.0, hekate ctcaer archive (newest one, as for now 6.0.1) should also be in switch sd card alongside (not in) atmosphere bootloader and such folders
@@mangoinnmclovint the case at all lakka uses fat32 it doesn't work on exfat32 SD card so means they using wrong fat for lakka. I use hekate 5.9.0 and it works fine
I havent found a good guide for setting up mgba or melonds through homebrew yet, and im nervous to now cause last time i tried, my roms folder for mgba corrupted right after creation and bricked my entire sd card
maybe use another card make sure to format it properly with FAT 32 and make sure you are organized with your folders and don't try and use one memory card for multiple devices, that's the best way to break things down.
Remember that you need to over clock the Lakka to run better. Also, rember that this is emulation some games might not work 100 percent but sometimes you can download a different version of the game or download it from another source. Some games won't even need over clocking it. For example, I am playing "Viewtiful Joe" without over clocking it.
Why do you think it runs so poorly?;someone told me it could be my SD card. But I heard other people say GameCube doesn't work and it's just bad on switch emulator
try other formats like RVZ this works for me best. or if it's on a zip file make sure to unzip it and put it in the folder that you create and he mentions on the video.
The Overclock settings got moved to the power management in settings, just go there, click cpu and performance power, and use right and left on the d pad to choose how much to over clock, also you can use pro controller via Bluetooth by holding the pair button
Modding of a switch lite requires a mod chip which would need to be soldered onto the board, a V1 switch is honestly your best bet if you want to get into modding as it's so much easier
You would have to get wallpaper engine, which cost like 5 dollars on steam. The wallpaper he has is probably called "[4k] Xenoblade Chronicles" since that's the one I have as well

@@papyruscoolskeleton9543 bro I cant tell you how bad I panicked thinking I was stuck on that GameCube game unless I turned it off lol, no problem happy it helped
clarifying my comment, to exit lakka, you press down on reboot and during the reboot while the lakka logo is on press down on the - minus volume button
What I did when I got this same message was simply updating my hekate. I had an older hekate so when I was able to update it to the newest version, it started to work.
@@johns146 I have two hekate files. one on my sd card, "hekate_ipl.ini" and one on my mac, "hekate_ctcaer_6.0.1.bin" do I have to move them somewhere else? my switch says it has hakate v5.9.0
