Exactly lost me at that point, didn’t need to see more because instantly knew i’m not installing anything that requires drilling into the truck. With today’s technology no one should have to, jmo…
+Andrew Warelis We did not pre drill the holes. The screws that come with the kit are self taping. Make sure you are on level ground then measure the bottom of the mud flap to the ground, make sure each corner is the same distance to the ground and drive a self taping screw in.
+Andrew Warelis Every Vehicle will be different. We did end up using the existing holes yet the self tapping screw was a bit larger. If you do not have existing holes that line up with a correct fitment of the mud flaps, just push the self tapping screw through.
If you have an aluminum body truck wheel well...be careful with galvanic corrosion or dissimilar Metal contact. Steel self tapping Steel screws into aluminum....a recipe for corrosion. Just saying. Nice flaps, maybe set up a drill free install bracket.
Great tutorial, as always! I always look forward to the outake at the very end. I did have a question regarding gatorbadk mud flaps, 6" inch lift and 35" tires. Are they wide enough, long enough? There's nothing weirder looking than a super skinny mud flap on wide mudders. Not to mention, it's illegal here in Arizona.
Alejandro Felix it really depends on how wide your tires are. These are actually 12w x 23L and you can see more on them here: www.realtruck.com/gatorback-mud-flaps/R184112P2015Y857MA.html or if that is not wide enough you can put a dually set on and you can see those here: www.realtruck.com/mud-flaps/dually/R204369.html if you have any more questions on these or any of the other over 500000 accessories we sell please feel free to call one of our awesome Customer Service peeps at 877-216-5446 they would be excited to help you.
