Been playing Generals for years and only found this today,huge thx to Gunship Mark II for his efforts and Dominator for clear and precise instruction to install this revamped classic.

Generals would be far more expensive to remaster than first 2D C&C titles, so unless EA thinks they can get their effort back in money or they would be desperate to win C&C players to raise interest about future C&C projects even when the current player base generally did not like EA very much after C&C4, then it won't happen... Though if they make C&C Generals reboot which may not be so stupid as relationships with China are quite low and the Middle East is still unstable after Western interventions it's likely still a good time for such a strategy game where apart from the poor original campaign and AI, they did not need change very much (removing some useless stuff like Microwave tank, rebalancing Humvees, etc. stuff to polish thing into old Blizzard standards). EA likely has a better chance for success when making a good Generals reboot than by trying to make a completely new yet actually better C&C unlike showed and beta-tested canceled Command & Conquer Generals 2 that was gameplay-wise inferior even to 2003 Generals before Zero Hour and patches arrived.
crazy what one person can do, cant imagine if EA actually took their fingers out their arse and did what this dude has done what the results would be, in any case big ups to him!! question; does the beta work on RA3 uprising? or must we rather go through RA3?
Aditionally, if windows defender blocks the install because it thinks its a trojan, simply go to the threat summary, open the quarantined items, and select restore. Otherwise the exe might be missing for you.
when my friends want to play with me i get this message "Connections are in progress, connection problem detected. Please wait for the connection to finish, or kick the player who has the connection problem. Failed connection: 1-2" anyone know how to solve it ? tried it with 3 friends and still got same error ..ps: when i play with random ppl it works however they cant do that and cant play with anyone
@@mayarbalah2348 I am running into the same issue and cannot find the answer anywhere else. The IP Address options are either "No IP Address" or a "192.161.1.XXX". Having the 192.168 IP selected, it still reads the same error. Does this require anything else?
el mod se ve bien, pero e intentado de instalarlo pero no inicia el mod, me abre la ventana para darle play y se queda en la imagen de command conquer evolution y de alli no arranca, y e seguido los pasos y nada sigue igual

HI Thanks for the walkthrough, and there're questions I want to ask in the following I downloaded RA3 this morning from Steam, yet, I couldn't run it as I tried to follow your steps. there're some problems I encounter 1. for short cut name with (-ui), I couldn't edit it. and even I tried to look the property location, were there something I missing in beginning?? 2. 4gb patch I installed, but screen showed that I didn't download RA3. Would it be possible to share some of your tips on installation?
Steam sells RA3 Uprising, which is incompatible with the mod. I had to get the game through Origin, which has RA3 and RA3 Uprising, mod worked immediately after that.
Hello, i have a question i'm from Spain and i just made all steps you said and when i want to run the game it said to me "language pack "Spanish" is not installed" and it didn't let me play, how can i solve this?
What i got was that it froze for the past half hour after i clicked play button. I'm not sure why it happened. I ran RA3 and it went very smooth. Tweaking the graphics and all but still not working for me on the genevo. I even placed the folder as an exception for the antivirus as well. Any troubleshoot you know might help? Thanks.
Hi i try to follow all the steps from your video but once i run the game, it takes me to Red Alert 3 instead of the General Evolution. Could u please help? FYI, I'm using Macbook and i already download windows parallels to be able to install eveything. Pls help

how do I run the 4GB auto patcher? all it does is barf out everything into a .txt also genevo.exe doesnt run and the windows mode gets cock blocked by windows defender any advice edit genevo does work after I turn off McAfee Real time scanning turns out it is just auto detecting and quarantining the .exe
I downloaded this game and played it perhaps 3 times before I get the error message "ssleay32.dll is missing" Now I can't play it at all. Any ideas? Thank you!

Is it stable? Any crashes? I'm thinking of just buying the ultimate collection because I want Kane's wrath too. But from what I'm hearing it's more stable on steam? Which launcher are you using?

Hi, can someone help me i downloaded and installed Generals Evolution and i cant get it running. When i double click GenEvo Launcher, nothing happens. i installed the 4gb patcher, and i have the RA3 bought on steam.
I started to download Red Alert 3 from Steam but stopped because I read that it’s operating system requirements did not include windows 10. Will this work on windows 10? Thanks…
