I do not understand why you did not put lights on the speakers, and that lights on the cassette, is not distinguished,? well, good video, I see them all, especially to large radios, 80s, thanks

7:35 a little less solder would be nicer and more efficient but it gets covered up anyway so very nice video!

Wow you are so good at this, and we have the same boombox! I bought mine (like new) at a Flea Market a few years ago for $20/$25. Lately, I've been wanting to build-in bluetooth 4/5.0, along with some sexy slo-fade RBG LED's in the speakers, to = my vibe. Thanks for giving me a great starting point! 😘

That’s is the coolest and dopest the way you add coolest features LED lights on the subwoofer 🔊 boombox and also add more great 👍 stuff to make more sounds better with bass woofer and amplifier like I said it’s cool the way you make it better for sure just keep dropping more videos show us how we can do the basics stuff god bless

Very cool, but I feel the acrylic plastic over the subwoofer grill is blocking some of the sound? One other thing I would look in to doing is cutting the window in the cassette door bigger, since IMO that little window doesn't show much of the light. But that small potatoes, good job.

I think that, from the factory, the front chamber of the woofer is sealed and the rear chamber is ducted - the duct opening is at the back. Kind of like a bandpass cabinet.

Yeah,The woofer can be a Power drive woofer or can be a formosa driver from a trinitron sub.

@@osmosis3182 here in Greece we love these radios, more of guys in universities they listen rock music...If you wanna visit Greece with your radio I suggest you to use only batteries because it will destroy by overvoltage, here we have 230volts-234volts and we have problem in 220volts-devices

@@osmosis3182 You know how to repair device by overvoltage???I had 2 cassette players with vu meter and FM STEREO LED and I destroyed them by this overvoltage since 2004... When I was young I couldn't understand why these radios are destroyed and how to repair them and in the villages we hadn't line for internet to search it in Netscape (today Google) but today I found an interesting article about how to repair simple device by overvoltage

The voltage drop on the motor can change the speed of the tape drive.

@@TE. take comments not personal, i think, Nowhereman jk don't want to run down or denigrate your job. this video is just fine, but in electronics, we almost follow by the book the protocols and keep "straight in the law", perhaps some rules are made to be broked, but in electronics, if you want to success, "know more than the book". and if is not, "go by the book" keep doing this kind of nice video, greetings!
