I guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
+AtotheK17 that sucks, so far I haven't seen anything bad and I've put over 300 shots in with this stick. Hopefully I won't have the same issue! Thanks for sharing your experiences. It always good to have other opinions when thinking of gear.
It’s like the lizard skin for baseball when you want a butt end or taper you need to add it on over the grip I know it doesn’t look the best but it keeps it from doing that
My Buttendz was utter trash.....put it on exactly how you're supposed to and it split in about 10 places only after 10-15 games....wasn't worth it. FYI - Buttendz are like $25US on Amazon and Lizard SKin is like $13....
NoI didn’t pull it tight I just did what you said too do. I don’t know if I get the tape again I see if it does it again I will just. Great video by the way keep it up👍
@@HockeyReviews also if you were to tape hockey tape like a swirl under and then a thin layer of hockey tape under it before putting lizard skin over it would that mold to it? I'm asking because I like when I have a swirl effect with tape that contorts to the shape of my fingers
@@treyb387 that is the benefit of Lizard Skins, you can put your normal tape under it, cover with Lizard Skins and you get the exact tape job but without the wear on your gloves
You put the tape on first so the grip covers the tape? You get the knob or ribs you want with the tape and cover it with the grip. Tape eats gloves where the grip doesn't.
@@cobrak1ngs the whole point of LizardSkins is to cover the tape, including the knob. The knob is what eats away at gloves the most. So if you tape over the grip tape for the knob you might as well not use LizardSkins...
@@HockeyReviews i use lizard skins for the grip. Why would the knob hurt the gloves the most? I put the skin Over all the rest of the tape too. It just fucks up the grip if I tape Over the knob I make with tape.
I think they cheated out on the length, a couple more inches down the shaft would be helpful. I put it on my daughter's stick as she got new gloves and previous products chewed up her previous gloves (she's on the ice 5-6x a week). I'll see if it lasts. I see someone commented that you put it on wrong. Not a big deal. I don't know why they used that angle cut. How is that advantageous? Good to see your video though as their website is a bit weak on the hockey side. Did it stand up over time? Or roll down as you suspected?
It has worked very well so far. I have moved on from the stick that I put it on but that stick is being used twice a week by someone else and it has held up perfectly fine. I agree with length, but that is hard to get right since some people want them as short as possible and others have huge grips, a long and short version would be nice thought. Thanks for watching! I'll be doing a full review in the future, just have a bunch of stuff to get caught up on.
it was done incorrectly as others have said. Tennis and field hockey grip have the same angles to start the grip. The reason for it is to give you the correct angle when you start your spiral downward. If you follow the angle and wrap perfectly parallel you should get more length as well as a flat smooth wrap with no or little overlay.
Update: 10 year old Tacki-mac sucked too. Took me an hour and a half with water, screwdrivers, a heat gun, needle nose plyers and a lot of anger. I think I gave myself a hernia i the process. Possibly sprained a ligament in my elbow and broken a toe, and I may have ruptured my spleen. But it’s on there now (same stick). Now I’m thinking it’s too short and I should’ve used the extension I bought and returned. 😤
