My actual project is converting a '88 atmospheric D21 TD25 to turbo.I'm trying to learn how to swap from the original pump no lda to the pump that i bought with lda 1670080G07 from the Terrano II TD27. Other parts already mounted since i ve been collecting spares from 2 Terrano II i owned from last 20years.Hope that the pulley is the same with no issues has you prevent us with your video. great vid mate. i am swapping a TD27 manual vehicle to a TD27T complete motor swap diner cat was a automatic. the TD27T has a TPS but the vehicle its going into is only wired for the TD27 fuel cutoff and throttle stop solenoid. can i just ignore the TPS wiring loom thanks
Thanks for the good video, and good effort with the English. Do you know if the TD27 turbo engine has a diesel screen filter in the injector pump? My car (Nissan Terrano, approx 1990) runs rough with white smoke, very low power, but revs higher when pumping the manual diesel pump on top of the main diesel filter. It's as if the fuel can't get through something blocking the way. I changed the main diesel filter, but no change.
Hi again if I don't find a nissan terrano mechanical fuel injector pump because it is not easy to find one here, can I fit another pump from a different car please. Thanks Jonathan
Well i know only nissan pumps terrano/pathfinder wd21, pick up/ king cab. Urvan/caravan, atlas. That's the models of nissan with td 23, td25, td27 engines with mechanical pump
Hi there, Thanks a lot for this illustrative video. I have a Nissan Terrano 2 / Ford Maverick with this transformation and all runs fine except the tachometer, which reads a higher rpm than it actually is. I believe that the tachometer signal in the new setup with mechanical pump is coming from the alternator and this is slower than the original signal coming from electronic fuel pump. Did you find this minor but annoying problem in your transformation? spasibo
I think on td27eti tachometer take signal from crankshaft position sensor, which is on engine front lobe above the pump or on the top of transmission bell
Hey, did you solve the tachometer problem? Because I am thinking to change the electronic pump with a mechanical one this month and generally speaking I don't like messing with the electronic system of this car. One time the speedometer was not working properly due to the rusted connectors and it made the radio volumes change during gas pedaling. :) My car's 2004, tdi 2.7, I think Spain manufactured...

No, you don't need to change injectors. they are the same. but injectors on mechanical pump sets on 105-115 bar, and electronic pump injectors sets on 130 bar.

Hi i have a td27ti engine and i want to know if you install electronic pump on engine the pulley fits perfect like you show with mechanical pump and pulley. Because is hard to match then zz marks on this td27ti and i have to move crankshaft to can match the z marks.
I actually don't understand, you want to install mechanical pump on td27eti? If you want to install it, you should better use mechanical pump pulley and install z against zz marks. if you want to install mechanical pump with electronic pump pulley, you should shift z mark on one teeth

I remove electronic injector pump then replace manual injector pump now the automatic gearbox is not shifting the gears for dutro what can be the problem
Mechanical pump had Trottle position sensor (TPS) on the top? that help electronic control unit of gearbox to see the engine speed. on electronic injector that TPS is inside electronic head of pump. I guess your pump don't have tps on top of pump, or you don't know how to to integrate into original wiring.
Yes, sure . But the plunger pair will need to be replaced from qd32eti pump and some other inside parts. And after that it should be adjusted on the fuel stand under the qd32eti nozzles. Because nozzles on qd32eti works on 130-140 bar against 105-115 bars on td27T. Or you should find QD32T mechanical fuel pump from Nissan Atlas, or Nissan Caravan
And on qd32eti you should install 11 millimeter plunger pair instead 10 millimeter, that installed on td27t mechanical pump. If you use td27t mechanical pump.
@@joshut4065 If you want to install mechanical pump from atmosphere qd32, you'll have a problem. Because atmo pump doesn't have turbo corrector, that add fuel, when turbo boosts.
