Thank you! I have never played Skyrim (I know, I know!), but decided to take it for a test toast on my Series X, but every bl00dy video out there is for people who have been playing Skyrim forever and know everything about mods. This was EXACTLY what I needed to get started and I REALLY appreciate it thank you. Great video...
This video was super helpful and I used that load order of yours you posted. Took me nearly 2 hours to setup for whatever reason but I’m about to start my new game. Hyped up 👏
7:28 I don't know if you meant to say that, but that's not right. The mods on the top will get overwritten by lower mods if there are conflicts, meaning the lower mod actually gets prioritised.
Admittedly, I didn't do a good job of explaining this correctly and the note that I edited in also didn't help clarify the concept. All I meant to say was that mods placed higher in the load order will load BEFORE the mods you place below them. You are correct in that some features of the lower mods overwrite the features of the top mods when they affect the same game attributes. That is something I should have mentioned to have a stronger explanation and I completely overlooked that. Thank you for pointing that out! Also, thank you for providing the mod organizing spreadsheet! That is a great document I wish I had known existed to help me through the modding process for all these years. I'll add it to the description so others can see. Thanks, once again, and cheers!
Me: skeptical to watch another Skyrim video El Efrain: [Inserts flute solo in intro and bashes Raid Shadow Legends in Beginner tips] My brain: "Click the subscribe button right now!"
Thank you! Im getting this tomorrow and have never modded before, this video has made it so much more straight forward. Will I be able to create an account on the Bethesda site using my phone or does it have to be on a pc?
@@ElEfrainTV thanks again it was really easy to set up but if you don't mind I have another question. If I want to add more mods to my load order do I do it and follow the same procedure of shutting down the Xbox? Only played as far as getting to whiterun.
@@pierce5808 I always hard reset my console after installing any mod, but that isn't the case for most mods. For graphics mods, overhauls, landscapes, and character retextures definitely shut down the Xbox. For armor, items, magic, most followers / added NPCs, or some new locations simply closing down the game will do. Always check the mod description to see if you need to hard reset and if you're unsure, do it just to be safe.
Thanks for explaining about load order. My game worked for maybe 15-20 minutes then kept crashing. Eventually just kind of gave up on it for awhile. Which is a shame since I love Skyrim so much.
Good luck, can't link or unlink Xbox accounts with Bethesda account because THE FUCKING WEBSITES A JOKE AND THERES LITERALLY 0 SUPPORT SO GOOD FUCKING LUCK MATE
Bro so my account is just fucked up now because I can’t load mod orders for shit now. Bruh it just goes back to the same screen Wtf type of website is that
Fu%#in' -A as in AMAZING work. You got a Patreon? Discord channel? Donation box? How about a working load order for the Anniversary Edition? Seriously, thanks for this.
So... the mods make a NEW profile save. After messing around in the game for a bit with mods I realized this. It said I don't get trophies with mods on which I didn't mind for a bit because I really just wanted to see what they were like and I was also happy to add a mod that allowed me to level up faster. I was then going to disable the mods and keep playing the normal way to get the trophies but I CAN'T! The profile that was modded, even with mods turned off, is still seen as a modded profile by the game and won't let me gain trophies. So all that work with mods was a waste and I'm still stuck where I was in my original save with my 10 or so quests that aren't updating or telling me where to go. God I hate Bethesda.
Thumbs up and Subscribed for the flute solo alone 👊🏻😅 Thanks for the video! You really broke it down in a way that does not assume the viewer already knows what a mod even is
Quick question. Whenever I’m in the mod catalog, it kicks me back out into the main menu whenever I press X to use the search bar. Any idea why that happens?
Solid video. As someone that was entertained by the witty non-swearing filled humor, it was very informative and helpful. Even swapped out some mods I was using for some in this listing. Keep making videos and rock on fellow gamer. 💥👍💥
hey fhere it has been 3 years so I don't think anybody gonna answer me but simple question , ive got the Skyrim anniversary edition, can i download mods on it too ?
Mods are in creations now. I have 3 mods loaded but not activated (xbox one). I can see and highlight cheat room, but not have it activated. No amount of button pressing does anything to the available selectable mod.
10:23 I mean, I get he’s joking about that’s what the PS4 looks like, but at the same time, the PS4 is not at all very hard to navigate. thus I really don’t think that was necessary, in fact, I’m pretty sure the PS4 is easier to navigate than the PS4, seeing as how you can put all your games into folders for different categories. but Xbox is a all scrolly-scrolly when it comes to finding your games because there is like 6 different rows of games, PS4 only has 2 rows assuming you have folders, if not then only one row
Hey man, this will be my first time modding so I have no clue what to expect, how does it work with an existing playthrough? Does this stuff just seamlessly get added? Like I seen you talk about one I really want (I think in a different video) the one about making the perks system of robust, will it just adjust to the progress I've already made? This is the longest I've done and playthrough and really like my progress and would hate to start over if I don't have to. Your videos have been very helpful, thanks dude.
Great question. So, most mods will just add in their items, enemies, and effects to the world little to no interference. You might get a small text prompt giving you a heads up that things are now in the world. Rest assured, your veteran save will be fine. The game makes a duplicate save of your game after installing mods too: one modded and the original vanilla. As for Ordinator (the perk overhaul mod), it will take at least 5 minutes to reimburse all your skill points from the vanilla game, and add in the modded skill tree. It will straight up say this once you load into the save with a text prompt. The mod will then notify you with another text prompt when it's finished, and you can freely spend all your skill points into the new skill tree. It's totally safe and doesn't at all mess with your save. If you have your doubts, just make a new save. I actually recommend it with this mod so you can feel the progression of the perks and not be totally overwhelmed by all the effects, powers, and stat changes. Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@ElEfrainTV I got too antsy before hearing back from and just dived right in and yeah that particular mod is incredible, I even like getting to redo all my stats from scratch now that I know what I want out of the game instead of this stupid well rounded thing I was attempting at first. It is a serious pain finding the exact mods you pointed out just like you had said it would be. Another question, I did see some of the exact mods but in different languages, how would this negative effect anything, like if it's just graphical stuff that doesn't require text I should be good? This time I'll wait to hear back from you before messing with it. Thanks alot man, breathing new life into skyrim is a great way to wait for the new elder scrolls to drop 🍻
Popular mods in different languages will only affect the text and titles of items, effects, and dialogue of some characters. Not a big issue if you're okay with that. If you're having trouble finding the mods I use or talk about, check the description of my videos for a direct link to the Bethesda page for the mod. I also have a PasteBin link to a list of my current Load Order with links to all the mods i use.
@@ElEfrainTV I'm have trouble completing the process of making my Bethesda account, something about the captcha things I think, I probably have to get off my phone and get my laptop out but man am I lazy. Plus it's letting me mod without completing the account so, my laziness prevails once again. Thanks again man, you're waaay helpful 🍻
Thank you I have been wondering why there was a modding section when opening the game ive been playing vanilla skyrim for quite a bit i may just download mods that change up the map visual quality getting rid of that pesky snow.
Yeah but these are just the mods ported too Xbox, you can't get specific mods on pc because they aren't ported, like better males, ALTHOUGH there is a better males mod, but it's not the version without the stupid cloth that the character model wears, another one being Kryptonian race, there is a superman mod but it's broken and doesn't work as well. These are basic LAME mods.
very very very late but, i dont have a bethseda account but the game lets me use mods and download and activate them.Yet when i go ingame none of the mods work at all. Its probably making a bethseda account thats the problem but i would like to know if it might be something else.
I’m trying to download mods of the Xbox one and I’m on nexus mods using Microsoft edge and I’m trying to download a mod but it keeps saying downloads are not supported on this device
I'm getting the same error as others that my information is invalid after just creating an account. I reset my password 3 times and still not letting me sign in even though the info is correct and its allowing me to verify my account. I've tried now with 2 different emails and its doing the same thing. Anyone else have this issue?
How many mods should I download at once just got the game on Xbox new account and downloaded like 80 at once is that okay gonna copy instructions in video
Yup. I didn't do a good job of explaining and clarifying what I meant. Mods will load top to bottom. However, the properties of the mods placed closer to the bottom will overwrite those placed at the top. My bad. Hope it didn't cause any confusion.
THANK YOUUU BROOO!!! I just felt like playing the game & had no clue on what to do or how to get all of those amazing mods & this was straight to the point & helpful. Amazing work.🙏🏻
ty for keeping it short and simple but idk why when i go get my xbox account to pair with the besthesda web it says erron but in my emails im paired up
If you mean on the Xbox, that happens all the time. You just have to put in your email address, username, and password again and it should be fine. You can close the game down and then open it a again and that might fix it; then do the process again. If you still can't sign in, it's a problem on Bethesda's end. Check the Bethesda support Twitter page. Also, you may have to wait maybe 10 to 30 minutes for it to work correctly, so maybe performing a hard reset on your console and your router. If there is an error on the Bethesda website, I am not sure how to fix that or what you mean by it. Sorry. Hope this helps. Cheers!
