Is "polymeric sand" similar to "modified thinset mortar", which I think is Portland Cement with fine sand and some type of polymer (like latex paint) which air dries after becoming "activated" with water. The cement undergoes a chemical reaction with water. Perhaps similar, but this has coarser sand and perhaps no Portland Cement?

I buy polymeric from rona but not work good no dry still soft why?

I have several bags left over from a previous job from 3 years ago, could I use them? They've been stored in a heated garage all this time.

I plan on using Surebond 8700 wet look, I assume I can just a garden sprayer. I'm super pissed off, this happened only months after they did this and tried to fix it again! Both times still problems. I need to fix where these contractors failed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xm8h2ZUq88A.html so figured I'd just fix this myself since they can't seem to do it right even coming out a second time in the shady area of my patio. I assume I can take the sand out here, refill it, then spray this on the cracks
