I know it's not recommended but using an android phone and ultimate usb you can install everything for the PS3 via usb. Recently installed evilnat 4.91 cex beta 9 this way and works like a dream
I made some notes on how to do it if anyone's interested: The FAT32 file system has a file size limit of 4 GB. So if you want to transfer PS2/PS3 games bigger than that and you don't want to use FTP you'll have to use an NTFS formatted drive. You can access NTFS formatted drives like so: 1. Format a drive with an MBR partition scheme to NTFS. This does not work with GPT and I could not get exFAT to work. 2. Open *mmCM* under the *Game* section of the XMB. 3. When it loads, go all the way to the left menu item titled *mmCM*. 4. Scroll down to *Switch to multiMAN mode* and select it. *mmCM* will reload. 5. In the same *mmCM* menu section open the file manager. 6. Click the face icon in the bottom-left and select *PFS Driver*. *mmCM* will reload. 7. Open a file manager window by selecting *PS3 Root* for example. 8. You will have two *pvd* entries, *pvd.usb000* is your NTFS drive. You can now copy/paste stuff from there on to the system.
Strange...when i want to copy my rap files to he hard drive i can't find an exdata folder on there. Should i create one? I got the latest version of managunz like you said. I made an exdata folder en copied the rap files there and installed the pkg files. The games appear on thr front but when i want to launch them it days i need to renew the licence in the ps store. Guess making your own exdata folder doesn't work?!?
You'd need to be on a firmware that allows for on-the-fly relicensing, such as Evilnat CFW or the latest PS3HEN. Then you'd need to PSN activate your console.
@@MrMario2011 that did the trick, the games boot now. Unfortunately it says "copyrigh protection information is invalid". This means the rap files are out of date?!?
You don’t need rap files anymore on any pkgs you activate after you the PS3 with Apollo. The system thinks you buy the game, but again, only on games you install AFTER activating with apollo.
Not true! You need to boot up each game you install once so the RAP file relicenses the content. Once successfully relicensed, the RAP files can be deleted.
@MrMario2011 I was installing pkg and now my psn logo are red like cfw but I'm on hen and the pkg manger is showing bit can't seen install from roof of usb
