This is the best and most helpful video. It took me a while, but the trick is that you’re not trying to press the little nubs to unlock it. You’re trying to push on the other side until it depresses and comes free. I kept getting fixated on the little “buttons”

I feel like an idiot. I'd been sitting here with a screw driver trying to pry the things apart, assumed they were one time use then had to be cut off with a saw.... This video just saved me so much frustration. Thank you!

*OMG* 😱 You are a lifesaver!!! I've been using these for 5 years and I either break my nails trying to push down the lock part to separate them, or I spend a half hour with a knife trying to get it back open. I cannot believe how easy it is doing it the way you showed us. Thank you so much

Excellent! Without this video, I don't believe I would have "figured out" how to open/split the knob. The manufacturer should have a link to your video on his packaging.

Thanks a lot, I was pressing down on the tabs themselves, didn’t think to push on back of tabs and only on the bottom ones. I was able to push down one and separate it, didn’t have to turn either.

BTW to anyone who's fingers aren't strong enough. To open just press on those tabs in and pull from one side to open with a flat screw driller

Okay I'll watch this video four times and I'm still having trouble opening the damn thing to put it on my door knob. I guess tomorrow when I go see my kids doctor maybe the doctor can figure it out
