My husband told me our entire counters would have to be removed to replace our broken lazy Susan. But I showed him your video, and he was surprised. So maybe now he will replace it.

Exactly what i needed! Our plastic lazy Susan has been broken since we bought the house and we have never been able to use it. I thought it was more involved to replace. I am glad to see i can replace it and get more storage space. Thank you!

I am so thankful for things like this cuz my metal one is sitting in my kitchen for over a month because my plastic one broke just like yours so we were up grading to the metal one and just like u said I couldn't figure how to get the pieces into the cabinet thank you so much!!! 😊😊

Both my metal wire lazy Suzanne shelf broke at the plastic centers peices. I'm ripping them out and making shelves. Gives me much more useful storage.

The plastic center piece on the lower shelf of my IKEA wire Lazy Susan broke after only four years of light use. I'm looking for alternatives and think shelves with a Lazy Susan and bins may be a better choice

I had a plastic version as well. It did not break, but looked cheap and stained. Metal looks cheap to me as well and still have plastic parts. I upgraded to a wood version made with birch plywood and metal pole from Rev-A-Shelf. Way nicer, much stronger, and holds 68 lbs. per shelf.

My lazy Susan shelves are metal and are screwed into the doors, they are better than plastic but they still flex a lot from the weight of canned goods.

Cans can be heavy for sure. I've found spacing out the heavy items helps.

Outstanding I’m in a pickle because I have an old lazy Susan that’s broke. It doesn’t have a post. It has hardware that connects to the top inside of the cabinet.

I have 2 lazy susans practically identical to this metal one, but the plastic piece holding up the top shelf on each of them have broken so they've collapsed onto the bottom shelf. I wrote to the manufacturer about getting replacement parts and never received a response. Do you have any idea how I can hack it into staying up? Thanks!

okay, I just went over and looked at my lazy susan. If the plastic rings are still there you can use a 11/4 inch clamp to hold it up: amzn.to/4fp2L92 or a 11/4 inch Conduit Hanger: amzn.to/4c9kmyV. Let me know if this works for you.

I think they have more rev a shelf models now. The one I ordered has zero plastic in it. Its heavy duty! But, I am having trouble lining it up in my ikea cabinets.

Thank you for posting this. I hope I can figure out how to replace my broken susan. My existing one is not pie shaped and the door is narrower than yours. The opening of the door is 28 and a half inches and the shelves are 29. I feel overwhelmed. Please tell me it's not that bad.

Maybe dumb question: the original plastic one for our house attaches by screw to the wooden face. What to do with that face with the stainless steel alternative? Ditch it?

You could use adhesive pads (they would have to be strong) or shallow screws, hard to say more than that not seeing your situation.

Not sure, measure the area, to make sure it fits, you need an inch or more on all sides, so it will spin correctly.

I didn't take the door off, was able to pivot it out of the way, but if you look at how other doors are installed in your kitchen they should all have a similar set up. At least that's that is the way it is for mine.

I'd use a similar setup to what you have with your plastic lazy susan. Since I can't see your version its hard to recommend beyond that.

Can u tell me how does it attach to the door so it can spin? My old plastic on the lip was screwed into the doors. With this metal one, I don’t have any idea what to do! 😅

It doesn't attach to the door, its mounted to the top and bottom of the base at the center hub and you spin it with your hands.

how do you know what size to order 24, 28, 31 inch? Do you Measure your opening or the height?

The height is adjustable. As for the diameter, measure what you already have or allow yourself ~ 1.5 - 2 inch gap on all sides of the space to clear the rack. For me the space was ~31 inches, and I installed a 28 inch rack.

My lazy susan has fell backwards while closed the only way I can see to fix it is to take the trim off, there are no videos that describes the fix for this😢

I would have cut the plastic in two halves and used clear gorilla tape down the middle rather than two weak end pieces on the liner..

Not sure about that one. I presume if you got the same size wire rack, you could mount them the same way they are on your current rack.
