I installed my sena 20s onto my RF1200 and didn’t cut the padding insert. You’re able to slide the insert in between the sena and the helmet outer shell - you may have to use a bit of effort if the sena housing is snug but the insert will slide in and snap into place.
Great vid! Very well explained and displayed. Would be interested in how all this stuff handles while riding. Quite some additional weight to the helmet!
I'm actually looking at a Bell helmet that's white and has a SENA mounting poimt built in and has a Transistions viser. It autodarkens in the sun and clears at nite or inside
I dont get this. It's a bluetooth thing right? So you bluetooth to your phone for when your using it to talk to someone? Does that mean you have to call them in order to communicate? Kinda hard when in the mountains and you have 0 cell service.
Hi how were you able to include Msblockhead voice in to your videos or any one else's who is on the same system when your videobloging?? I thought the gopro hero was using a different mic than the Sena 30K
Hi blockhead! So, I have a 2014 harley sportster 883 superlow and would like to have a set up like you have on your helmet but my bike is so loud I don't know if I can hear anybody talking to me or if they will hear me over my bike. Is there any trick to kinda sound proof my helmet?
Hey blockhead. Got a question for you about this. I have a 20S that I bought and had installed by my dealer. Unfortunately, the boom mic is no longer working. Do they go bad after years of use?
I've been a fan of watching your videos since you've started. I was wondering if you could do or will you do a sena bluetooth install on a Simpson Mod helmet?
1:45 What's wrong with a pillow, a towel, or a pillow and a towel? lol xD More plastics/foam in the world that's unnecessary. And extra cash you have to dole out.
@Jamie Moore I was so confused for a little while... then I realized you weren't replying to a user named "MacGyvin". xD Totally understood now. ;D I used to watch the old MacGyver. Haven't seen the remake.
huyked Have you ever worked on a helmet with either of those 2?? Obviously not since you asked the question.. So here is the reason why.. When you're working on it the towel and pillow allow it to move around way too much and isn't stable.. And with what he was using in the video allows him to work on it without it constantly falling all over the place
Is the 30k worth the extra $150 over the 20s? I’m wanting to listen to music and still be able to communicate with my wife. We don’t have any communication setups currently so we aren’t invested yet.
A Year on and still very helpful, wanted to get the most out of my setup and feel at ease. Shoei GT Air installation. FYI I DID NOT HAVE TO CUT OUT ANY PLASTIC. I unplugged the speakers to make it easier and everything slid back into position. Thanks a lot!
Dear Sena, I have just purchased the SRL system. A small word of advice, there is no way you can use this three button system with wearing gloves, it's just far too fiddly. You cannot feel what you're doing in order to find the right button. I'm sure it all works very well sitting in a lab somewhere without gloves on. I would suggest that Senna makes a Bluetooth product with only one button, an on and off button and the whole system be totally voice activated. It's incredibly dangerous to take your hands off the motorcycle handlebars and try to find and fiddle with buttons you can feel. In your next firmware update please please please please include a voice activated volume control, as this would make life so much easier than trying to fiddle with a button you just can't feel. Many thanks.
@@Jimbobd421 wat he means is when wearing gloves you cant tell what button your pressing, where as without gloves you can feel all the notches and find the button by touch
!!!ATTENTION!!! Anyone looking to buy a Sena right now the 30K is currently $200 on Amazon (at the time of posting this in the USA) you can upgrade the firmware to Mesh 2.0, and Sena will be releasing the HD Speakers soon for $40. So for a total of $240 you can have the exact same quality as the Sena 50S. Mesh 2.0 and HD Speakers are all that has been upgraded on the Sena 50S.
Great video thank you very much would you please show how to install a dual USB cable for a phone I want to use it with my iPhone for charging on the Run Thanks Alot!!
Hey how does this led headlight (4.5 out of 5 stars 721 Reviews Wisamic 5-3/4" 5.75" LED Projection Daymaker Headlight for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles 9 pcs Bulb-Black) compare to the standard HD LEDs. Is it really a Daymaker when it comes to night riding. The price is great.
Ron Bridgefarmer I have the Wismanic headlight on my bike it is awesome much better than the stock light. I have a install video on the particular light. Can’t go wrong especially for the price ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aBr7I_fmhbo.html
So my RF-1200 whistles pretty loud when the shield is up , did yours do this? Other then that I absolutely love the helmet, but hate the whistling lol.
I've been considering getting some kind of system for the upcoming season. What would you recommend just for basics like music and GPS? I don't know many people who ride, and those I do know don't use a sena.
Only have had static issues while paired with more than 4 people over Mesh. We usually just default to the bluetooth connection, which is crystal clear. Don't have experience with others, so can't really speak about any others. Sena seems to work great though within line of sight.
@@BlockheadMoto when you using bluetooth pairing with other, multimedia (music, maps) works at the same time? Because some people saying if you are on intercom with someone u loosing an other option, or talking or multimedia. ?
Sena for more than 3 riders linked was crap ... I mean they say up to 10 riders, yeah good luck.. we gave all gave up. So is the new Sena the same ??? I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to a Sena now Crap speakers, craps support, craps controls... the only thing good about a Sena was the battery life
Followup question.... is there an adapter from the SENA to the GoPro that allows your riding partners voice to be recorded? I believe there was one video you did where YOU could hear what they were saying, but it wasn't coming through on video.
Blockhead I need a new communicator and was thinking of getting this one since I have no idea when the sena 10c evo is coming! What is your review on having used it for a little bit? Is it worth the $300 and how’s the sound quality?
Can you provide a link for those "felt" inserts? That fill the gap so the speakers fit. I'm actually looking at the BELL helmet (that you used with the GoPro setup video).
I definitely WOULD NOT cut that much out of the cheek pad. Small slit for the wires maybe. I was always able to stuff the wires in without cutting. I’d go with the sticky mount first
2 questions, 1 do you know anything to remove rust? like an idiot.. i live on the beach and havent gotten a cover for my iron soo my disk brake is getting rusty and some nuts.. lol any info to help let me know! second one, the fuel pak that you have, is it only suited for one bike? or can you use it on different bikes

How did you connect the sena with the GoPro? just to record the conversations between the other riders are connected? Or is the sena so loud that the motovlog mic can catchs the output from the speakers?
Dans Moto his motovolg setup video is linked in description- probably addresses the block you can see next to the go pro which is what allows his to sync video from go pro and audio from sena i’m guessing
Actually this part is not included in the setup video which is linked below. The problem is, sena has developed a solution only for the gopro 4 and the previous generation family and not for the following generation like GoPro 5 and 6 to sync the audio directly into the GoPro via Bluetooth.
Can you hook the Sena systems up with other devices? Like if my wife and I have a Sena for motorcycle riding, but we're also doing a trip with my cousin in his truck; can we commlink his phone to our Sena headsets?
yes phone calls work you should be able to have it private oh 3 way there are lots of utube videos on sena all the models just do a search and you will get lots of how to videos
@@motokane2146 Absolutely, if i recall correctly, Fortnine Canada mentioned that Sena used to work with (I think) HJC, so the 30k comm has an HJC logo on it somewhere, but i could still be wrong
