Hate to be the one to tell you that is going to leak we’re you nailed the step flashing on the bottom since the overlapping flashing won’t cover those nails

It's okay; it won't leak for just a few years..that's all that really matters

​@@kristopherrainbolt2617 Actually...if you do things correctly it will not leak. There is no reason to nail the step flashing to deck if it is nailed to the curb.

I nail in the top third, or twice - top corner and the top third, to the roof. If in doubt, following official Velux instructions could help

Not true on skylights, per Velux just higher. The nail is is exposed..supposed to be under the next step piece.
