A guys what ever works and gets the job done is what i think 🤔 true or not or going to go waist few extra dollars for a wire that is going to do the same job.
I JUST DID IT LAST NIGHT TO MY 02 ESCALADE ONLY 04 & NEWER CAME WITH SIGNAL MIRRORS, INSTEAD OF RUNNING THE WIRE ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK YOU CAN JUST BYPASS IT TO THE SIGNAL WIRING HARNESS UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL PANEL , ITS THE FIRST WIRE HARNESS BECAUSE THERE ARE 3 & ITS THE TWO THICKEST LIGHT BLUE & DARK BLUE WIRES LEFT SIGNAL IS LIGHT BLUE WIRE RIGHT SIGNAL IS DARK BLUE WIRE
Great video I will definitely be doing this to my SUV! You dont know how long I been looking for alternative ways to do this other alot of wiring here and there
Have an 01 silverado and I took the mirrors off a 2004 tahoe. Didn't realize they were different until I tried to hook them up. But I'm keeping the 04 mirrors but I want the turn signal and puddle lights to work along with the mirror movements. But I see no wiring diagram so I can just splice them into my factory harness

I just got the same thing the puddle lights we hooked to the door light on the inside, and the turn signals we hooked on to the headlights but they stay on for me so we are tryna figure out why lol
@@Ytxspookydid you hook up the turn signal part onto the headlights or the lower headlights which are called the parking lights/turn signal lights And just to speak ahead. If you wire them to the parking lights/turn signal lights I think you mightve wired them to the parking lights wire which are the amber lights that turn on when it gets dark and flashes brighter when you engage your turn signals. If that's the case just remove the wire connected to the parking lights and tap into the flasher wire so that way your mirror turn signal doesn't come on when the headlights turn on. Be sure it's not the black wire because that's the ground wire
How long did that take for both start to finish? I liked the video it showed some things Ive been wanting to see how done.... the music was kind of,, maybe not best choice..... the rest I liked though thanks... I have a 99 suburban going to add the rear front fender signal repeaters to so slightly different what my project is,,, but similar still.
@@sperez6140 Wdym if they turn off ?? Bcs mine we just hooked last night the mirror ones and we hooked them to the headlights turn signal and they stay on
So I did this to my 2002 Cadillac Escalade signal mirrors original OEM I did not run the wires to the back tail lights I ran them the steering wheel you open it take off the front peace were the speedometer is at then the cap on top then the bottom cap and on top of the steering wheel there is a light baby blue wire one which will be your left turning signal power and the dark blue one will be your right turning signal and for your negative your ground you're going to get the one that is by itself in front which I believe there's only two wires a black one and like green or orange one I forgot what color and that's how I ran mine. Make sure to use a test light turn on the signals and poke those two colors I told you it will work I ran everything else how he did his on here the i only ran my wires under my dash from the left to the right and the right to left it was not hard it does take time be sure they are 2 sets of wire on the steering wheel a thin 1 and a thicker 1 is the one you use and test the 2 black wires beacose 1 has power

I don't understand why he did that he could have went to the junkyard and got a Yukon or Tahoe passenger door that already have that installed and replaced the door
🤣🤣 umm i don't understand why you would replace a door if the one he has is perfectly fine... now you have to find a junkyard that has one of these trucks, with the same paint job, in good condition, with powered turn signal mirrors, pull the door off, remove all the harnesses, come back home, remove your truck's current door, remove the harnesses, mount the new door, just to find out the turn signal mirrors still don't work because the truck was never pre-equipped with turn signal mirrors, so you still have to run your own wire ...
I have added the mirrors to my 02 Yukon following your instructions..the driver side is staying partially illuminated with lights on. Any idea on how to stop the partial illumination?
