How To Install / Sideload Any Apps On Huawei Watch 4 Pro 

How? Harmony OS4 upgrade doesn't allow. Did you find a work around?

Hi there, I didn't change anything. Some people have messaged in the comment section that since the lastest update, sideloading is no longer working on their watch. So the latest update may have changed something. And as I no longer have the watch, I'm unable to do any further tests to verify this. All the best.

Although it came up with that error on this app, I changed nothing and continued on the second app, which connected just as I showed on the video. The process still worked. Just make sure the devices are connected to the same WiFi network. All the best.

i found a solution: write: pm disable-user com.android.packageinstaller new state: disabled user

​@@familycreatethere is a clear cut in the video after the error. 6 minutes has pass between that cut, from 18:36 to 18:42. You did something in that timeframe that you dont show. We get the same error as you before that 6 minute cut. We try to paste and enter again, same error. Then we go to bugjaeger, and it can't install apps

Hi there, I sideloaded the Curve APK. Unfortunately, it just didn't work, and it kept crushing at mid-point. I believe the Curve sideloading part may be towards the last section of the video.

Yepp, in Watch 4 pro it works without any other device (Phone) besides I use e-sim so I dont need Phone to use navigation

you need to disable the verification of installing from external sources. Something like 'adb shell pm disable-user com.android.packageinstaller' (re-enable this after you finish installing your apps)

Hi there, Sorry, unfortunately, the watch has to have WiFi access in order for this sideloading app to work, but I believe the GT4 doesn't have WiFi.

Hi there, Many thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to install Wear OS apps on to the watch. This sideloading I'm showing is mobile APKs. Also, the watch has to have WiFi access in order to sideload apps. I hope this helps. All the best.

I know that the GT series does not support it, it is a process that is only compatible with Huawei Watch 3 and 4

Perhaps try again as there are no other steps once installation is successful, the icon automatically shows on the app list even for apps that don't work. Also, if you haven't already, try restarting your watch and see if that makes any difference. All the best : )

It can be downloaded if you can find an APK, but it won't work as it requires Google Play Services. To answer your second question, you can download music and play with the built-in player offline without the Internet. I hope that helps :)

I don't recall seeing anything on Huawei's health app setting to transfer music to watch like on Android.

Hi there, Huawei Watch 4 Pro doesn't support Google services. Therefore, the apps don't work. I have tried sideloading some Google apps, but unfortunately, none of them worked. I hope this helps. All the best.

Yes Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music work but you need to temporarily change the screen resolution to be able to authenticate with command : wm density 210 then reset the base resolution with command: wm density reset

GT series are not compatible with this process, just Watch series

I've been using whatsapp for more than 3 months thanks to the owner of this post. There is No error or smt bad. I use e-sim number on my watch (paid cellular number) so I can use everything easily 😎👍🏻

Yes, absolutely, you can sideload for Samsung, although the steps may vary slightly.

Hi there, you can Google for APKs. Sites like APK Mirror / APK Pure are some that I have used previously, but please be very cautious when downloading as many sites do have viruses, and this could mess up your device. All the best.

Same issue. Really annoying. I even spent ages looking into whether I could flash non Chinese firmware on my watch just to fix the AI. Conclusion was you can't do it.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to share anything on the printer.

If your watch doesn't have WiFi connection, unfortunately, it won't work as you need to connect both devices to the same WiFi network for sideloading to work.

Hi there, Search for WhatsApp APK on Google. Normally, they are on the APK sites. These are mobile phone APKs as there are no watch APKs. All the best.

I heard that a recent software update from Huawei has put a stop to sideloading apps on to the watch and some people who have used this video's method have also reported that since the recent update they were unable to sideload. It's a great watch and such a shame that there is no Google app support. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Does it have WiFi? Also, have you tried enabling the developer option by performing the tapping option? Or are you saying you tried the developer option and it's not working?

@@familycreate i tried to enable developer option by tapping harmony os version on my first try watch was vibrated but developer options didn't show up i tried it again few times after that but it didn't even shaked on my other tries and device doesn't have wifi just bluetooth

Sorry - unfortunately, without WiFi, the process won't work. Your watch and device must be able to connect to the same network for the process to work.

I'm not sure why. Did you make sure both your devices are on the same wifi at the point of installation?

When did you both last update? Because I heard that Huawei is stopping all Android App support on Harmony OS on their future update.

Did it register the package disabler script properly? If so, and still not working, then it must be something to do with the new update.

I haven't tried it, but as far as I know, it's not possible as Apple doesn't allow access to the developer settings.
