I use wago wire connectors. They are so easy to use. They come in different sizes for more than 2 wires and also in different awg. After wires are connected I wrap a pc of electrical tape around the connector to insure it stays closed. You can get more info on youtube.

Very nice tutorial! I didn’t quite follow the wiring diagram explanation, but, to be expected when u are hurrying thru a Short. VERY nice use of Fast-Fwd, vs. just cutting - I liked it way better! As always, ur videos are informative & fun!!! And "drop a screw" tip was best youtube advice I've seen in yrs!!!

That is much sleeker than the dimmer I was going to use. Thanks! Just a couple things I would do different. I have grown fond of crimp-on butt connectors. There's no disconnect, so one less problem area, but you need to leave extra wire in case you need to cut them off. Brother makes heatshrink labels for their normal printers. Way better than my handwriting. Link in the following comment, because youtube sometimes doesn't like links.

Liked your video. Very well explained. My specific issue on my boat and attempting to install this same dimmer switch to replace a very old switch, is that the old dimmer switch had 3 wires inside a grey jacketed wire. I tried different combinations and in one attempt, the lights came on, but didn't dim and remained on even when I turned the dimmer to off position. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I wanna try and set up a google hub with starlink along with my programmable LED light strips so i can just tell google assistant to do things on command. Id also splice that starlink eithernet cable and run it into the van walls to wall mount all the networking equipment. Make my own network closet in the van. But thatz just me....and how i wanna set it up van

Hey thanks for the video. I’m running into issues with my lights flickering. Using the LEDs, wire and dimmer you recommended. Any thoughts on cause of issue? It’s a very subtle flicker but it is a flicker nonetheless which is a bit frustrating. Cheers 🤘
