Hi! You mean the toilet lid doesn't lift up? The T16 model doesn't have auto open/close for the lid. But it does feature auto flush for added convenience.

I had the same issue; support sent me a video showing what the inside connectors look like. You must rock it back and forth quite vigorously, to disengage the top. Much harder than you would expect.
