The reason to disconnect the battery is to prevent accidental detonation of the airbags. Orange/Yellow connector blocks are airbag wiring - it's possible that while making/breaking the connection there you can get a stray voltage that triggers the bag. Disconnecting battery is a basic safety step.
I like it, If you know someone working on a ford transit van they do swivel bases for the front 2 seat bench (and the benches open up for storage space). Having any swivel front seat on a van is also extra great if you have a pop top bed as youve just made yourself a step to get up. 😙🤌
Not ideal when your on a slight incline. Although I suppose it's a fancy van so you can probably engage it then unlock it and leave it down with it still engaged. Angry Mike, you sir have been served by a fool!
Great walkthrough of the process. I kinda want to watch again to count how many times you say "swivel seats". 😁 Loving the van series! Thanks for sharing!
Seeing you take off your shoes before you put your feet on the seat made me think that the little riser behind the seats would be a good place for shoe storage. Then you might take them off to keep the van clean(er), but they wouldn't be very far away when you were going out the door or swivelling around to drive.
you dont have to unplug your negative cable. Its just for safety and common practice used by technicians in case you short out the battery, or your fry your car computer
Ben I have a question for you. Say you are parking on a slight hill and you decide to stay there for the night. How do you apply the handbrake on your van conversion then turn your drivers seat around to face into the back of the van ? The reason why I ask is that once you have pulled up the handbrake you don't have the clearance on your seat to be able to turn around and face the internal area's that are now your home !!!. I may be wrong but from your video I can't see that you have the room to do the turning of your drivers seat without it hitting your handbrake and you can't turn the seat around firstly then apply the handbrake like I said earlier if you're parking on a slight hill etc. As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Вы очень классный специалист, смотрю вас второй год и ваши изделия мне очень нравятся, я сам с Украины, и хотел бы от вас хоть какую-то изделие заказать. Успехов во всех начинаниях вам.
I meant there’s a standards of safety that are met with DOT approved seat since they’ve been tested. Others have not. If you wanna go by “word of mouth”, that’s on you
In my humble opinion, you should make a separate channel for your van life content. It’s not content that I’m interested in, and I’m probably not the only one like that.
@@WobyDesign And this is why I love your channel. Responses like that. I'm here as much for the content as I am for your delivery. If you don't like the video, skip it and watch something else that day. I'm excited to see this content even though its completely irrelevant to me.
