Video Transcription: Hey guys, John here with realtruck.com. Today, I want to show you how to install the Bully Dog Triple Dog GT programmer into this 2012 Chevy Silverado.
We've got everything laid out and out of the package. All of this stuff comes in this little package. Everything you have here is everything that you need to install your programmer into your truck.
The first step in installing our programmer into our truck is to get the update on. What you want to do is go to bullydog.com, click on the download, and find the update agent. Once you get to the update agent, you'll see a spot here. It says click here to download the update agent.
Once you have the update agent downloaded and installed onto your computer, what you have to do is put the micro SD card in, but you need this adapter for that. Then, we have to remove the card from our programmer. I use the tip of something to push in and release it. That lets it come out. Then, what you'll do is take the part that has the contacts on the bottom and slide that into the adapter, which is what we're going to plug into our computer.
Once you have it installed into the adapter then we're going to put it into our U.S.B. port on our laptop or computer. Then, what it tells us here is what it is and that we need to do the update. Once the update has completed then you can close the update agent. You can also close your web browser. You won't need to go back into there, because you have it downloaded onto your computer now. Remove the SD card from the computer and from the adapter and re-install it into your programmer.
The first part of our installation will be to install our OBD2 adapter into our truck. We're going to have to get in the truck and get under the dash to get this thing plugged in and ready to go.
The next thing we're going to do is install our power cable. The way we're going to do that is we're going to get under the hood here and go into our fuse box. What we're going to do is find a fuse in here that works only when the key is turned on.
