can this product connect to any new wifi that switches between 2,4/5ghz frequencies, or does it only work for the seperate ones, specifically a 2,4ghz one

It will only work on 2.4 GHz. So if you are able to select it will wotk fine

Hello, The product works either on batteries or with a micro USB cable and power adapter. The battery lifetime is up to 6 months but is of course depending how often you use it.
