Its ok! Not every one knows how to do this!! Everyone has their first time! This video is a very quick, step by step how to on hooking up a propane tank to your grill.
Some of us are stupid-I have done this many times, and EVERY time I struggle to get the spring wire “clip” back into the handle of the tank so it won’t fall off my Charbroil grill.
Thanks! While this is fairly simple to do, for a person like me who is just using a gas grill for the first time this helped me make sure (after reading my manual) that I'm doing everything correctly since propane is a dangerous thing.
murphy stewart I was at the Lowe’s today about to buy one then got scared about dying so i left. I’m here to hopefully soften those frights and get back to the store with some confidence.
👍🙏Thank you sir!! 🙏 I can’t believe the name of your channel. 💝 It’s like divine intervention that I was directed to this video!!! Daddy died and I had no idea how to do this!! Daddy always had the answers to my questions and I could always count on him. RIP Daddy. Thank you for helping us daddy less girls out here!! 🤗💞🤗
Thank you Diy Daddy!. sometimes ppl are a bit shy to ask a simple questions maybe bcos its their first time or havent done it before. keep making simple videos as i am too is a dad but not handy in the house. Thank you!
Good instructional for the masses. One thing I would add. Once you are finished grilling for the day, close the the tank valve. This keeps the the regulator joint from bleeding off gas. Just a habit I have. My gas grill is several years old, like maybe 8 years old so the different pipe joints could have a slow leak
ya like me. propane tanks scare the be-jesus out of me .. but we're ready to go; our first bbq tomorrow of the season, got some dogs, sausage, burgers and steak :) Happy Grillin' .. be safe..
Thanks good video. I just received a gas grill from neighbor as a gift. It's used but it's mine now. Attaching gas on, hope I don't end up on the news. Lol
THANK YOU. I bought a Nexgrill a few days ago, and all the other videos on RU-vid show a bottom plate with a hole and thumbscrew for holding the propane tank in place. Mine (we bought it assembled at Home Despot) did not come with the bottom plate. But it DOES have the two notches, and a bent-clothes-hanger looking thing -- sorry for the highly technical jargon -- that clips to the handle of the Blue Rhino tank. (There is ONE small line-art illustration in the assembly manual that suggests this is how it works). After watching your video, I went out, dropped the tank into place, and CLUNK, it just slipped in where it's supposed to b, with the bent-clothes-hanger thing clipped to the handle. A good thing, as my wife came home with two fantastic looking rib-eye steaks and a bottle of wine, so I had the grill heating up when she pulled into the driveway. You have made a brother griller look good in front of the woman of the house, and therefore, sir, I salute you!
what are the 2 thin wire bridges behind the tank for? I was so curious when I installed those on mine just following the instructions. They don't feel strong enough to be structural.
Wow! Thank you for mentioning that! I just watched the Weber one that missed your constructive point, too. However, the Weber video did mention three good suggestions regarding checking for a warped or broken seal in the BBQ attachment, turn off the BBQ, spray soapy water and look for bubbles. If it bubbles, undo, check again, re-apply soapy water and check for bubbles. If bubbles happen again then change the tank. Also, note smell, if possible, when tank is in the off position. Thanks again!
Actually, the lid should be opened before lighting the burners. He showed turning off the valve. This video is fine and does not need editing, additions
@@domr5976 "Turn the vale on when ready to use it" does not show the burner being ignited. if you have a grill leaking gas the moment the valve is opened, you need a new grill. its a closed system. the valve can be on forever if there are no leaks. if there are leaks, get a new grill.
I have the same bbq but I have another hangar wire that is squiggly. How do I install the tank to that. Please make a video of how to attach it. Thanks
That’s where I always struggle. I can’t set the tank ion the ground, the lines on the regulator aren’t long enough. The metal clip thing never wants to go back into the hole on the top rim of the tank. I have tried turning it upside down, backwards , different heights. This is the reason I watched this video in the first place.
Pierre-Yves Mutrux Thanks Pierre, not I could not get your link to work. I finally got mine together, had to disconnect the bottle, hold it at an angle to engage the retainer, then place it on the support, and then attach the regulator.
I suppose so? You press the button and it is supposed to ignite the propane instead of using matches etc. For some reason 2 of my 3 igniters have stopped working and I need to replace them.
OK, I can show that. In a lot of cases though, it just needs a cleaning because grease, soot, and other stuff can get down there and prevent the sparking fro occuring. I'll get to work on that right away! So just to clarify, your grill has the red push button, the ignitor is not part of the gas knob?
