Looks good for 1 turtle. But I would say that the pond is the bare minimum in size for a growing turtle. Once it hits full size, you'll want a bigger pond. Also I would suggest filling the water level to the brim and build a fence around it so the turtle can access some land. I hope there's a good amount of sun that the turtle gets throughout the day to bask as well. Keep an eye on the water temperature so it doesn't get too hot if there's a lot of sun. Best of luck.
I have a larger slider and im about to get him a 125 gallon pond similar to this one but im going to put it in my sunroom which is on the 3rd floor of my building so it won't be buried in the ground... im trying to think of how to put the most water in there without him being able to climb over the edge 🤔
I love this so much... I'm gonna make a similar pond next week for our tiny 3 legged slider we rescued right before the spring cold spell we had... You did a great job,I hope my pond build goes as smoothly as yours did
Nice set up! What I would suggest is putting lava rocks in the spillway to provide the biological media to combat excess nutrients. Also switch the placement of the sponge filters so the courser one is next to where the water enters.
You should buy a second turtle for him i had my turtle alone for 3-4 years and i got 2 rescues and it changed her personality now they are always huddled up together 247
