An easy install, but thanks for sharing. It is always good to actually see how things should be done in case that one has not done this before. As always, very helpful.

Thank you exactly what I needed to know and perfectly explained. Well, your dog seems a little bit bored, though. 😉

Like the idea about removing the cover for the rear protector. I just used a small screwdriver but agree scratches can occur if not careful. Like you I lined up the wording; bit of OCD here as well. I also used a small amount of loctite on my rear protector just to make sure it stays on. Final comment useful video

Could you use sliders in place of the crash bars? They look so much better?

I know some people do, but to be honest I just sat down in the dealership with the salesman and we went through the options list and ticked lots of boxes.🙈

Just purchased these for my 2023 GSA after watching this video. Question is should I be using thread locker on the axle nut as well?
@gsd32i
@gsd32i Год назад
I believe the install guide says just put a bit on the axle threads ….

Hi. Great watch btw. Just out of curiosity. With the huge boxer engine poping out from both the sides and the protection on it i find it really difficult for the front forks sliders to ever come in contact with the ground. Could you please shed some light on this. Also is there any other use to this other than protection in case of a accident/fall? Thank you. 😊
@gsd32i
@gsd32i Год назад
Hi . I guess more than likely not but there may be a chance of there being an impact with stones etc if it went down , albeit a slight chance ?

Hello Did you ever find out why your GS 1250 veers off to the left when you take your hands off of the bars with Michelin P6’s fitted .? Mine does exactly the same, never did it when I had Michelin Anakee’s or Bridgestone battleaxe’s A41’s Many thanks Dave
@gsd32i
@gsd32i Год назад
Dave ....ummmm no. There is also a slight twitch of the bars (apparently not that I know , I've been told)at about 127mph. other than that the tyres are brilliant. Off to do the landing beaches at the end of this month in Normandy then may look at swapping them back to the loud OEM Anakees that are in my garage to see if there is any difference. Some have said its the torque from the shaft or the camber of the road......mmmmmm🙄
@Azantys
@Azantys Год назад
the torque value on the rear slider with the Torx 45 is it 16 or 60 NM? sorry i am more into ft/pound. but i think 16NM makes more sense. Can you please confirm ?
@gsd32i
@gsd32i Год назад
Hi, its a maximum of16nm or 12fflbs 👍

@@gsd32i I also have it on my 2022 1250 GS 40 yr edition. You know the black and yellow. In the video it looks like a bung or a cap but I think it is hollowed no? By the way Excellent video and explanation !!! I installed the avant and rear Mudsling as per your instructions and the Helicopter tape ( OCD too here lol). I have also ordered the front and rear Axle protection from Wunderlich. Keep those "How to" videos rolling mate !!
