HOW TO INSTALL THESE MODS ON CMS21 - CMS21 Tutorial for Engine Stand/TK Aftermarket/QoL Mod

Im not the best teacher, but today I try to show you guys how to get these mods into your CMS! Hopefully this may shed some light for those that have been having issues, and maybe you can finally enjoy these mods! Let me know if this works, or if i need to revisit this. THIS IS MY FIRST TUTORIAL, so be easy on me! lol! LINKS BELOW!!

If its not working for some people, change the melon loader to x64 not x86 like he does in the video.

I appreciate this video. I am BRAND NEW to modding files. like.... Flight Sim 2000 was the last time I ever attempted it at 12 years old, and I broke my game, so I never did it again!! With that said, I cant get TK Aftermarket, to show up (but engine stand, and QoL are working). I have ML5.7, so I'm thinking I just forgot to extract. I'll check it out when I get on again. Thanks!!

does not work for the game pass version of the game. When I try to install MelonLoader in Select unity game, nothing populates for the file name, and when I follow the path to add it to the game file it says "you do not have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission.

did u find a fix? if so maybe try using ML with the “helper” file not the game itself, the helper file should be in the same place just under it

i got all steps right, but when i start the game it pops up the melon loader file, but in the game is lile no mod and its not working

Because it was probably blocked from running certain files, windows and anti-virus will see these files as very bad. .DLL files are dangerous and can be stopped from running on your pc. You need to check and see if that was the issue with your installation of melon loader and any of the mods. Not all how to vids are going to diagnose your issues, they showed you how to download and install, the rest is on you.

It's not working for me , It's saying 1 of the 2 files is unsafe , ( DLL 526 KB ) I'm using windows 11 & I turned off the firewall .

@kylekinner4482 So there should be something else, its like x64 or x84, go one below which ever it may be. Heard that has helped.

I noticed with the rear diff add on parts when you add them to a car in editor it bugs out the config so does the summit radiator I’ve had these mods for a while but figured you may be able to find out why. I build a lot of drag cars and have only been able to use it once

this was helpful but when I try to open my car mechanic sim melon loader does open up however an internal failure called Cpp2IL stops it from actually opening up further beyond that point and in order for me to continue playing cms i have to uninstall the melon loader and yes i have it on the 5.7 version on 64x

Try right clicking it instead, and click extract all.

You did the automated install, correct? If so, Check to make sure you got the correct version of ML. It has to be 5.7. Otherwise it wont work.

Im sorry about that. Unfortunately it only has one file that hasnt been updated, so im not sure what else it could be.

There are some texture mods on steam that will change all that. Theres different themes to choose from. 👍🏽

@@mustanglyfsyl I would try redoing it. James in the comments had a similar issue with a mod, and reinstalling it seemed to work itself out for him.

They're not my mods, they are ones others created. I guess they don't want to deal with having to have steam check them, so they post them on Nexus. I agree though it would be way easier if they were on steam
