Hi, i have a question. I have a trombone slide that has a spring bumper, the spring is really noisy and i was wondering if i can remove the spring and instal cork bumpers instead?

Yes, that is fine. If you decide to go back to springs, you can just switch them back.

Are there synthetic alternatives for this?

I do not know of any, but there probably are some. Many people use felt which also works well.

Trombone slides use felt, not cork.

ohh yeah sure, am going to believe some random guy instead of the instrument repair-man with his own shop thats been going this professionally for years.
