You had made this so easy for me to install. I looked at the manufacturer’s video of the installation and I was confused as hell. Looked at yours and I installed in less than a minute. You’re amazing!
This talented young lady was so refreshing and quite helpful in fully understanding the application of these devices. First used her teaching about 2 months ago for our home and today at my son’s home for protection of our grandson. Looked up this video and was thrilled to see her again! Outstanding job! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with me.
Who is this girl? Does she have a RU-vid channel? She must. That was the best how-to video I've ever seen. Clear, well edited, covered literally everything. If I'm learning something, I want you explaining it! Please link to her videos!
12:03 in the video is interesting. You are putting the magnet towards the front side of the lock, which is the reverse of where it usually goes to unlock it. The magnet usually goes to the back side of the lock, where it is attached the to the cabinet, to unlock. But it still worked on the front side! That was unexpected, but helps me in a possible project where I'm hoping to use a magnetic lock on a door that opens the reverse from a standard cabinet (pushes into the cabinet instead of pulling outward). Now thinking I could possibly use the lock component on the frame inside of the cabinet, and the strike plate on the door itself, and the magnet (if doubled) might still work to unlock it, if aimed at the front of the lock, through the door panel. Was thinking if I use a steel strike plate and screw to attach it (instead of the plastic), it might help conduct the magnetism even better to the lock front to unlock it -- but then you showed the issue of nails and other metals unlocking the mechanism. So, maybe that would leave it permanently unlocked. Now I'm wondering if all safety baby locks get unlocked if near nails, or if it's just this brand. Seems like it would depend on if they make it with the lock or the key containing the magnetic part.
Five stars Most videos only show how to in the perfect case. But in the real world things aren't perfect. Bravo for some ideas on dealing with less than perfect
Wow. You need to do instructional videos for EVERYTHING! 😍 I would never have questions about anything again! Thank you so much for the time you took to make this video!
Thank you for the video, way better than the first one I watched!!!!!! Awesome product and so quick and easy. I was able to install while child was chasing me around the house
What if there is no frame in between the drawers, like the drawers just sit on top of each other with the guide rails holding them up, I would have to attach the strike to the bottom of the drawer above, any tips on this?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DhIy9Ypd5gg.html It’s the first demo turning the strike plate on its side and placing it on the inside of the frame (vertically) rather than the underside of the drawer on top (horizontally).
You are just freaking gorgeous and I love your hair and I love your cute fun voice, and I’m just a mom who hates this kinda crap, and your video is the only one I didn’t roll my eyes at cuz the mom tried to make everything look perfect, perfect filters, perfect kitchen, perfect everything. Can I please give you a list of other things I wanna see done and you can make them, instead of my husband mansplaning them to me? 🤣 Again, you’re also very gorgeous and natural and I just love your vibe and ummmm have a great day!! 🥰
Unfortunately these do not fit my Kitchen Maid cabinets. The inside of the cabinet door has a 2" piece of wood across the top so that only 1/2 of the lock is able to stick to the inside wood. I would need a 3/4" thick plastic strip to fix...not practical. Is there a better way to do this?
No, shins aren’t included with the drawer locks. I found this reply provided by Eco-Baby on amazon-someone had asked a similar question there. “ Hello! Thank you for your question. We were providing these parts as a courtesy to our customers in the past, but we are no longer able to furnish the spacing shims or extensions for alternative mounting of our magnetic cabinet locks. Due to problems caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, we have agreed to allow our shop staff to remain in their homes until this situation is under control. Those who have access to a miter saw and/or table saw can cut these wooden pieces as needed. Pre-sanded 1” x 2” wood strips can be used, and we initially bought the long wooden stir sticks for 5-gallon paint buckets. These paint stir sticks work very well and only need to be cut to the necessary length. Most hardware stores also sell the 3M double-sided foam mounting tape rolls with the green checkered film on the back of the tape. Our friend Handymom has posted a created a great how-to-install video that you can find on our listing called "How to Install and Troubleshoot Eco-Baby Locks" that you may enjoy seeing. This video outlines additional steps for installation on various types of cabinets and includes a lot of troubleshooting tips. As another alternative, we carry “Child Safety Strap Locks for Fridge, Cabinets, Drawer, Dishwasher, Toilet, 3M Adhesive, No Drilling Required” (www.amazon.com/dp/B07K1MSD7K). These are lighter-duty straps but can be used in sets of two in order to increase their strength as your children grow older and stronger. Again, we apologize for the inability to provide these helpful devices, but your understanding is important to us. Thank you for your patronage! Warm regards, Julia Eco-Baby”
Thank you for the question. None of our listings‘ content or videos claim we provide shims & spacers as part of our product package. Video only suggest customers can use shims and spacers in rare circumstances where they need to make tight spaces work within their cabinets. Hope this helps.
@@GtzL64 Thank you for the reply. Did you get the installation tools with your purchase? This is important to me because it seems that these locks would be very difficult to install without the tools.
