Hi David, I'm not able to copy/paste back and forth into the VM even though I have shared clipboard and drag and drop set to bidirectional. do I have to check anything else ? thanks for the time and help in advance.
Also, I think you can check Virtualization in WIndows by opening the task manager, go to Performance Tab, CPU, and there it will say "Virtualization: Enabled" if it is on.
Great tutorial. Had this for a while on my device but I might need to update my preferences now for font adjustment. Thank you sir. Always learning more from your content 👍
wow...great video just what I needed. Thank you for taking time in creating the video it was very helpful. Now I will attempt to install Oracle for linux..thx
Excellent tutorial, very thorough and explaination was perfect. It was easy to follow step by step and went above my expectations with the copy and paste feature and enlarging the window screen. It was extremely helpful for a beginner like myself. Mega like and huge thanks David from Canada.
It was understood by me and I was making a new operation System on my windows 10.😂❤❤ The tutorial makes me know the step by step to activation the Virtual Box to can be Installed Ubuntu (Linux)
Would be much more fun David, if you teach while swimming in the shore, everything being waterproof lol :) I guess we'd call in amphibious training under azure sky ! ( Just a bit humor in a serious subject ).
Wonderful video, everything explained in delightful detail, but in a way that is not at all pedantic. Allows for complete understanding by even the lowest common denominator (a.k.a someone who's not so smart like me :D ) I will def. be subscribing to this channel. Thank you sir.
Hi David, Nice presentation, and need your help on one issue that i'm facing, that is after installation, at time 16:41 in your video you are doing the Insert Guest Additions CD image, and the same i've treid in my virtual box, then i'm facing the Error in Virtual Box, The error name is like below - Error, Unable to insert the virtual optical disk. This is what i've seen in my Ubuntu window, so could you please help me to resolve this issue.. Thanks in Advance.
Hello, first of all thank you for the excellent work you do through the tutorials and courses, I would have liked, if it is possible for you to do a tutorial on inter-vlan routing with ACLs to allow to block some vlans. Thank you.
@@davidbombal big thanks!! i'll take it on Udemy! too bad that openflow is not using outside google and facebook. I'll buy your course about sdn + openflow on udemy, very interesting.
Great video ! How should I allocate for the memory size since I've got 16gb ram ? I create this vm in order to program, create network games with godot etc...
Thank you Miguel. What type of homelab video you looking for? I have a bunch of equipment so my lab may be a bit of the reach for most people. I would suggest you use Packet Tracer (if you are new to Cisco) or GNS3 or EVE-NG for your CCNA exam prep. Which VMware cert are you preparing for?
David Bombal ive done a ccna bootcamp where I’ve setup both packet tracer and gns3. After your eve-ng video i also set that up at home. I want to do my ccna exam next year so im looking for a lab to help me prepare for the exam. Im not sure which vmware cert i should go for first. I have been working with esxi for many years now, but never looked into it.
Hi David, I love how you made the video, it really is awesome! I was following your instructions however, as soon as I added the guest addition, I got a blue screen :( any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!
Great tutorial as usual. We are getting high-quality education for free. I have a question. How is this different from installing Linux on WSL2? Although, I can't install WSL2 as yet because release 2004 is still not ready for my hardware. But, I would appreciate it highly if you could answer my query. Thank you in advance from down under.
Thank you for great tutorial, sir. I've got a little problem that the 'bidirectional' thing doesn't work for me. Gonna keep search how I can make it work but if you have an idea, thank you for sharing.
This is like reinventing the wheel. There are tons of webpages on the net explaining how to do this very basic thing. I would have found a video describing how to trick Windows 10 into booting a VHD(X) file with Ubuntu residing on the VHD(X) more helpful.
