Great work. 🙂 Screws often loosen due to vibrations. I think small riverts will hold longer and better here. They are even smoother and less sharp even if they protrude to the other side of the sheet. 🙂
Hey! We're in Utah as well and the cheap corrugated metal one that our landscapers installed is failing after 1 year. What was the cost per sheet if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks! @@JedsGarage. I just called them and it looks like the price is about $95-$100 now a sheet, but still good! We're definitely going to do this! Now the next big question: Aluminum or Galvanized Steel? They're about the same cost for the same thickness. Also, did you do .04 aluminum? They said they don't measure aluminum in gauges, but that that was the closest to 20ga they carried.
Does the ground freeze Where You Are? I'm up in Canada and we get about 3 to 4 ft a frozen ground every winter I don't know if that aluminum would hold up from the side pressure. Nice job though. Looks good.
It does freeze. The aluminum is surprisingly strong when screwed to the frame. It’s been up for almost a year now and has easily held up the weight of the ground behind it.
