I'm looking to do the same. In my opinion, you should have installed the stabilizers folding to the rear of the trailer. That way if they were to somehow open while in motion they would just skip over the pavement. The other way around risks them getting caught and violently tearing apart, or worse, make you lose control of the trailer.
Well you still have to pull them down to fold them anyway so either way it would still not break away if they were down. But that might be a better option. Thanks for your input.
So I put them on a single axle trailer and it’s meant to actually keep the trailer from pivoting while loading it with equipment. It’s not really meant to lift it by any means. Hope that answers your question.
